Hotel Indigo Madrid - Princesa by IHG

Not far from all the places to see in Madrid. Great breakfast options.

Parking was difficult to find and navigate.

The location was excellent and we were able to walk to most places, and taxis were very reasonably priced when we needed them. The hotel itself was clean, and the rooms were comfortable. The staff were friendly and helpful whenever we needed assistance, and overall it was a good base for our trip

The breakfast was decent, although it was the same every day with very little variety. That said, we had no real complaints, as the food itself was perfectly fine. The room was quite small, and our window overlooked a set of stairs, but since we were only really there to sleep, we didn’t feel it was worth complaining about.

Good location near public transport. Restaurant staff very nice and helpful and food was good. Nice breakfast. Room was clean and comfortable and there were complimentary soft drinks in the minibar.

Our rooms were both inward facing, one of them onto a fire escape. They were very dark and felt quite dingy because of this. We were disappointed as I had booked well in advance and we were paying a relatively high rate in terms of this hotel. We mentioned it to the desk staff (after one room was changed for another equally dark room) who was not terribly helpful and said simply she would mention it to management. Many hotels specify whether a room is courtyard or street facing at booking and I recommend this is done here. I was surprised this wasn’t mentioned by other reviews as I would have requested a bright room (as suggested by the desk person).
