The view from the peaceful rooftop terrace over to the dagoba was lovely. The room was a good size and very clean. The two receptionists were lovely and super helpful - we used our phones' translation apps to communicate successfully - they really made my stay a pleasure. The traditional hutong location in Xicheng District was great - off the tourist track, quiet (since very few cars pass through) a short walk to nearby historic Miaoying Dagoba (Temple) and some lovely places to eat, drink and hang out in Gongmenkou east and west alleys. The area was really interesting for experiencing a slice of local life, especially taking a wander in the early morning and evening, but was central enough to be convenient using a driver or public transport to get to central tourist attractions. I personally LOVED staying/shopping/eating out in an area where English wasn't spoken or was rarely spoken - google translate made comms possible where needed, and people were always ready to try to help!

We had the perfect stay in Bejing here!! Thanks again for making us feel at home. The ladies are so lovely and sweet, I still miss them and hope to come back one day!

A lovely facility with modern comforts and traditional design touches. The staff went out of their way to provide good service despite a language barrier. Breakfast was excellent - great coffee and dumplings, fruit and a rotation of eggs, granola/yoghurt. Bed was comfy and bathroom was clean and well stocked. The hutong area was so interesting with many food/drink/shopping options within walking distance and transit/Didi was very accessible. Beautiful outdoor decor of plants/flowers and a lovely rooftop patio. Highly recommended for a quiet stay with character and great service.
