Not friendly Staff! Lazy staff!

The location is great. Close to Taiwoo ski. Unfortunately,the staffs there not friendly & not helpful.Before I going , I called to hotel to make sure how to get the shuttle from TaiZi Cheng train station,the staff just simple answer me & asked me see the signage by myself. Finally i was confused when I arrived Train station. After I asked the ground staff there, so have to take shuttle bus which is “public” instead of “hotel shuttle”. The staff did not giving clear instructions. Counter staff also not friendly at all. After get our room key, we didn’t know the way to our room & which floor. We have to ask the staff. She should tell this information to guest while passing the room key. This kind of service, really can’t category in ”Marriot Bonvoy “ hotel.

I appreciated to be in contact with a vacation coordinator who spoke English, it was a great help because most of the other staff (especially at the ticket center) did not have even basic English, a bit strange for a Westin group hotel in a tourist zone. As a client of the hotel, you get a discount on the ski pass and private heated lockers on the slopes (above the Starbucks), which is great; parking is free; the kitchenette is practical and boasts a large size fridge and freezer (bring your own food as the "grocery" store has mostly drinks, ice cream, and bathroom items). Their restaurant has individual hotpot in the evening, all you can eat and really good.

The breakfast could have some variations - when you stay more than 2-3 nights, it is not varied enough. The kitchenette is not equipped upfront, you need to ask for pots, pans, and even plates and glasses, but even after they bring you what they have, it is minimal. For serious cooking, bring your own knives, non-stick pan, dish detergent, sponge, cloth, etc.

The breakfast was terrible and the staff not helpful. There is discrimination for foreigners, the staff ask me to file special paper and show a covid test. Informations they didn’t ask for Chinese nationality.
