I thought the Staff on arrval were excellent especially Scott, who tool the time to have a laugh with us. Checkingin was no problem. Room was nice and warm, bed was comfortable and breakfast was very good . Overall all excellent.
Only issue I had was the shower, It was all over the place and to turn it on and off proved a bit challenging.

The people working there are amazing. Nice, friendly, helpful, full of Glasgow charm. George in particular, was delightful. He met me with a cheery smile and chat each morning of my stay and went out of his way to make me an oat latte! people like him make the stay a joy and i dont think they get enough recognition. There is also a beautiful pond beside the hotel full of wildlife, lots of baby animals, foxes and squirrels. highlight of my trip.
the downside of my stay.
sadly the hotel is in desperate need of an upgrade. Its in poor condition, definitely not worth the money for the stay.
Also, what i didn't appreciate, especially as a lone female guest arriving at the hotel late was the "Homeless" male guests standing at the entrance to the hotel smoking and blocking the entrance.
it was intimidating. i didn't feel particularly safe getting in the lifts when they were there. also, the beautiful pond i mentioned, appeared to be where they all sat together.
If the hotel is taking these men in, then guests should be told. If i had known this, i wouldn't have made the booking.
Paying nearly £700 for 3 nights stay to not feel safe doesn't sit well with me.
Again, to reiterate, the hotel staff were fantastic.

Staff were very good and helpful
The hotel felt tired and needed to be upgraded. We didn't bring our car but having to pay for parking on top of the cost of staying would probably discourage people from booking.
