The cave house was amazing and really made our trip to Matera. Giovanni was great at explaining the history of the cave and providing information on places to go. There is a fabulous restaurant/bar with a panoramic view 5 mins from the house that we would never have found without Giovanni. The downstairs room felt like our very own bar! There was a heat wave when we were there but the cave was cool. The location was excellent.
There was nothing not to like. I am grateful to the reviewer who said if you are hesitating about booking this property - don't just book it. It is fabulous.

Casa perfetta e in ottime condizioni, situata nei suggestivi Sassi di Matera. L'ambiente è tranquillo, caratteristico e davvero affascinante. Il check-in è stato semplice e ben organizzato. L'host ci ha fornito consigli molto utili sia prima che durante il soggiorno, dimostrandosi sempre disponibile. I letti erano comodi e la biancheria impeccabilmente pulita. Consigliatissima! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

I never write any feedback, I'm just too lazy to do so. That being said: you HAVE to book this place, while staying in Matera. It is perfect. The host, the location, the place itself... Man, I've been all over the world, but this is a truly unique experience. A modern Sassi, where yet a lot of historical details are honored and kept in place. 10/10!

A beautifully renovated apartment that has preserved and highlighted the authentic character of the Sassi. It is exceptionally clean and located in a perfect area. Giovanni is an outstanding host who shared fascinating insights into the history of the neighborhood and gave us many excellent recommendations for sightseeing and local restaurants. We highly recommend staying here!
