Beautiful Cactus Apartment in Villa

The property is attractive and well maintained. The pool and sitting area are comfortable. The units are spacious and well equipped for cooking. The wifi is good. Mayya was very helpful in working out a problem with VRBO and is responsive and helpful to guests. The property is close to central La Cruz with its many restaurants, bars, marina and beach. The beach has no shade or loungers. The weekly La Cruz market is of high quality, there are several local venues with good music. The local collectivo ( mini bus) provides cheap transportation to Bucerias. It should be noted there is a steep hill to climb to access the property which may be an issue for people with ambulatory issues. The property is in a residential area and the nights are noisy from many barking dogs and roosters.. The balcony in the Cactus suite is very small and not available for sitting, however, there is ample space in the outside common areas for morning coffee or afternoon lounging.

Mayya & Ross are gracious hosts who have poured lots of time & love into their place. There are several beautiful spaces to find privacy and read a book or watch the sunrise/ sunset! Poolside has a shaded cabana , and the rooftop cabana has a marina vista and hammock. The pool is refreshing with the afternoon heat. We enjoyed hearing the roosters in the morning and talking to Mayya’s parrot Rico. The grounds are beautifully manicured. Mini-marts (OXO stores) are close and we cooked breakfast in the fully furnished kitchen. The location is a short walk to the marina! Our favorite restaurant was La Peska in the marina and Masala. We are already reviewing our schedules to return to quiet La Cruz and Mayya & Ross’s charming casa!
