If you are coming to Sardinia to spent some time on the beach, Villa Myrtos is a perfect spot since it takes a short stroll to get to amazing beaches. The house has a beautifull garden, we were in awe of the smell that some flower gave off. When sitting outside you have a view at the sea and land with some mountains. The house is perfet for 3 couples. The table outside and inside fits exactly 6 people so we could have game nights and breakfasts together. The kitchen is fully equiped so we cooked everything we wanted. It has a private free parking for 3 cars and the neighborhood is quiet.
To get to the villa you have to text a lady that takes care of the house to come and give you the keys. Which is not a problem itself, but since we weren't sure at what time exactly we were going to come we had to wait 20 minutes for the keys, we just sat down at the terrace and enjoyed the sunset, but the lady doesn't speak english, so not everything was clear and we had to use translator on our phones to comunnicate. Same with the departure, you text the lady and she comes. The funiture are a little dated, still clean and working and not a problem in general. We came in October and the only thing to cover yourself in the bed was a thin bedsheet, and I uderstand that Italy is a warm country so the last thing you want to do in summer is to cover yourself with a duvet, but in colder months it could have been usefull. Since it is close to the beach it would be amazing to have designated beach towels. The distance to any bigger shop to do groceries is 25 minutes at least, it wasn't problem for us becuase we had cars, but just keep that in mind. Also if you want to drive around Saridnia you have to count at least 50min-1h 30min to other cities. Those were just personal preferences, not something that would prevent us from booking the stay again but I think a universal problem is that when you enter the Villa it smells like a detergent. Which indicates that it was cleand-perfect, but the smell stayed with us for the whole stay, we got used to it, but maybe there are milder detergents that can be used. Also one room, which is located on the first floor doesn't have doors, but it has a private terrace, from which you can see the sea.

Beautiful hillside location and stunning gardens . We loved sitting out under the olive tree and looking out to the sea . Very clean and great communication from the hosts . Well-equipped and very spacious house . Lots of kitchen equipment made cooking very easy. When asked, the host provided a wealth of information about the property and the local area .
For us we found it hard having no access to a pool. We also found the location in chía quite isolated . There are so few restaurants and shops and the lack of competition makes prices extortionate - 70 euros to hire two sunbeds on the beach and 5 euros for a bag of local pasta in the neighbouring mini market . This made it a very expensive family holiday .
