Guest House Nonnolorè

They were super kind

Guesthouse Nonnolore is located in a quiet neighborhood with bakery and small market at walking distance. There's public parking nearby (we parked our car there for two days, and it's 2-3 minutes walking from-to the guesthouse). We walked to the historical center. We drove to Valle dei Templi. The kitchen is well equipped for breakfast and light meals (it has a fridge, coffee machine, microwave oven, dishes/cutlery). The shared area is spacious. Everything was sparkling clean, the beds were very comfortable and towels, linens and blankets were in perfect shape and clean.

Pros: -It was a very clean room with a nice view -coffee ,milk and water available.

Cons: -As a " tourist" I try to stay in a centric place where I can take advantage of going anywhere by walking and just coming back to sleep and occasional break during the day. However, this place was way UpHill and it wasn't worth it hiking and then coming back down more than once a day. I would reccomend any first time visitor to get something closer to the plaza right in the center. It was my fault for not researching the altitude and seeing that walking up hill would be a serious workout. -The walls are very thin-like. At least in the specific room were I stayed ws like this. I could hear ppl going up and down the steps. -So I know running an air BnB is a business, I get it. When I booked the room I noticed the size and actual room was the same whether it was for 1 or 2 ppl. Without realizing the price difference I just booked it for 1. ( again, exact same room) When I arrived, I was confronted in a very non polite manner about why I brought a second person. I said I would pay the difference and I checked and it was 15 euros. He tried to charge me double! So i said I would stay just for 1 night in that case. I contacted booking . com and shortly I was contacted by the son of the man and apologized and said just paying the difference would be ok. I did for convenience and because I had already paid most of it upfront. Regardless, in all my years traveling I never felt more uncomfortable. The confrontational attitude was uncalled for.
