This beautiful modern 136 square meter country house is the perfect place for your visit. With breathtaking views of the majestic mountains and all amenities you are guaranteed a truly relaxing holiday. This totally quiet spot is surrounded by hiking and biking trails. An easy 15KM drive to Salzburg, our house is centrally located for many tourist activities. A short drive to many ski resorts as well as Austria's famous Lake and If Spa areas make it a perfect place for any season.

Further Details: This wood floored house sleeps 4-6 with two roomy bedrooms, each with double beds and plenty of storage. There is also a pull-out double sofa bed in the upstairs loft which sleeps 2. The modern kitchen is fully equipped with a radiant stove top, wall oven, refrigerator, dishwasher, microwave, toaster, blender, coffee maker and all dishes, pots, pans and utensils. The large open style living room has 3 floor to ceiling windows revealing fantastic mountain views. A large dining area seats 6 comfortably. There is a full bath and stall shower. Our house is fully wireless, and has a brand new HDTV and cable for your entertainment pleasure. The house has a large yard, BBQ grill and large terrace with table and chairs. Owner lives on premises in separate apartment.

Stayed here in February and the apartment was very warm, spacious and comfortable. Quiet location near town of Hallein which has a few restaurants. If you are skiing, bear in mind the resorts most likely to have snow are 1 - 1.5 hours away, but doable. We really enjoyed our stay here.

The property is really high quality and the view is gorgeous. The location is quiet but very convenient to everything we wanted to do. Only two points to mention - the refrigerator was not working (great communication with the manager - they found a solution very quickly) and the upstairs window did not open (which made it a bit hot for the kids to sleep there). If they fixed those two minor things, I would give this a 10/10. As it was, it was still like a 9/10.

Joy was a great host — didn’t have the chance to actually meet, but was very available, informative, and friendly. The house (and view) was beautiful, and huge! Perfect stay for those visiting Salzburg and Hallien.

The window view here is incredible, the photos don't do it justice. House is large and open and in a very quiet area, but within happy driving distance of multiple day trips (Wolfgansee, Hallstatt, Eagles Nest etc etc) and so is a perfect location. The host (Joy) was also incredibly helpful and sorted out any issues for us straight away, very kindly. The only minor problem with the house for us was that the TV lacked the apps (netflix Disney etc) which would have been useful for the kids. But that's the smallest of problems when the view is so amazing!

Wow! Wonderful apartment with a beautiful view! We thoroughly enjoyed staying here! We had every amenity we could possibly need during our stay. We even did laundry as it was in the middle of our trip. Great location near Salzburg and Berchtesgaden National Park and Hellbrunn Castle.

You’re very nice updated house in the country. The location was perfect for day trips around the Salzberg area. We definitely enjoyed the view from the living room while drinking our coffee in the morning. The communication with Joy was prompt and easy. I would definitely stay here again.

We loved our stay here. We had everything we needed, and more! And the huge picture window of the mountains was mesmerising. We were glad of our car to get to the shops and restaurants as we hadn’t appreciated the distance into Hallein. But it’s a fantastic comfortable house near lakes, mountains, good beer and good Austrian food - what’s not to like!

We’d really recommend staying here - the location is amazing; within easy reach of Salzburg, the mountains of Germany and stunning scenery in the locality. The house itself has a great view of the mountains and is well apportioned, particularly in the kitchen diner / lounge and mezzanine. We had a lovely welcome from the host and communication about our stay was excellent!

The pictures of the views from this home do not do it justice. Quiet, peaceful neighborhood surrounded by mountains and fields, yet close to so many day trip destinations. The home was immaculate and comfortable. The owners could not have been more accommodating and friendly, with great communication. We cannot wait to return!

Great house with lots of room to relax and a view to remember forever. There is ample parking space for even a large vehicle. The kitchen was very well equipped and there was wood available for the fireplace. The beds were comfortable and private so the kids could sleep while we enjoyed the living space. Very reasonable drive into Salzburg for all the tourist things and there are plenty of local restaurants within a short drive as well. The road into the house is a bit different but pretty normal for the area after you drive around the country a bit. Google maps won’t drop you off at the house so try getting a Plus Code especially if arriving at night.

Our kids were ecstatic when they saw the house from the first moment. My elder one instantly asked to extend our stay and we did. Though its 25 mins away from central Salzburg, we were happy as a lot of our itenerary included touring the outskirts. Every evening the kids had movie time upstairs where a sofa bed was set up incase we chose to sleep there. The two bedrooms on ground level were sufficient with spacious wardrobes. The views were great from every corner of the house including the bathrooms. The kitchen was well equipped and Ms Joe was always available for help. We really appreciate her aisstance in going out of her way to lend us gloves for a visit to the ice caves. She also arranged an iron and board on request. There was a washer in the basement too. We could do more long term stays in the future hopefully. None of us wanted to leave. The quietness and beauty of the surroundings are indescribable especially for people like us who come from a city like Dubai. Thanks a lot for hosting us.

My 70-year-old mother and I stayed here for a week, and it was the perfect calming retreat after we'd been in big cities the previous week. The on-site host, Joy, is super nice! There are a couple of nearby farms with cows and horses, and the neighbors were very friendly. I wished I could stay much longer! The best part, other than the phenomenal view of the alps, is the hiking trails. You can just walk out the door and up into the woods for easy & medium hiking trails. After it rained one day, I saw the biggest snail I've ever seen in my life on a tree in the woods. It was amazing and I hope to visit again one day. This place is a gem!

Our family of four had a wonderful stay at this countryside home. We loved the views from the family room looking out at the mountains. Returning to the vacation home at the end of a busy touring day was very relaxing and peaceful. Both Lorrie and Joy (business partners), were very informative and available. The location was great for a day in Hallstatt, Hallein salt mines, Salzburg etc. We thoroughly enjoyed our trip. Thank you!

We were so incredibly pleased with our stay in this home at the end of summer. We came as a family of four (two adult couples) with plans to see all of the major sites in the area, but it was beginning to get a bit cool outside. The view from the sitting room inside the house was so truly unparalleled that we often found ourselves lingering in the home much longer than planned to read, and have some wine or coffee and just relax. It was exactly what we were hoping for when we booked. The house is impeccably cleaned and decorated, and has a stocked kitchen with all the basic nonperishables, so we didn't have to buy a lot at the nearby Spar market in Hallein. When we did compel ourselves to make it out to see the sites, it was an easy (and quite scenic drive!) to all of my favorite spots to visit in the area: Salzburg, Berchtesgaden, and Werfen, to name a few. These are all great and practical day trips from the house (but you might want to spend at least two separate days in Salzburg to make sure you see everything!). The hosts were so friendly, responsive and gracious. We enlisted the caretaker, Joy's help on several occasions (she lives next door). We also genuinely appreciated the local guide Lorrie had prepared that outlined restaurants in the area. The quaint town of Hallein is just a 10 minute drive away, and has many restaurants that we thoroughly enjoyed. We would definitely come back again in a heartbeat.

This house was perfect for our group of two couples and two children. Our hosts (who live next door) were gracious and helpful. The house had a good stereo system, reliable wifi, every kitchen gadget and appliance we needed. In addition the bathroom had been supplied with all the little things a traveller may need, like shampoo, soap, moisturizer, etc. Like a hotel. The house was extremely clean when we arrived. The house is on a street with very few other houses, mostly fields where we always saw a cat or two on the prowl for critters. Each bedroom had lots of storage and good lighting for reading. The view from the living room was glorious and overall, it was very pleasant to lounge about. A very large SPAR supermarket was about a 5 to 10 minute drive away. We had a great day at the Werfen Ice Cave and do visit the adorable town of Hallstadt.

The house was exactly as advertised , Clean and stocked with the basics to get started. Joy the co owner was only there for our arrival but both were available to contact via e-mail or phone if we had questions, allowing for time differences. My relatives live in the town of Adnet and they were impressed with the house and believe me if you know any Austrians that is saying something . My daughter skyped a video tour to her friend back home as well I would recommend this house and we will stay here again if available . If you travel here in the winter get a front or all wheel drive car!! We had 20 inches of snow over New Years . There are some good restaurants in the area we liked the Mexican restaurant Topeto they also have take out and the Sefelsmuhle is a local hang out, there are 3 main grocery stores in between the circles but the Sparr seems to be the local favorite. Like others who have reviewed the property, we found the welcome wonderful Joy showed us around and had put milk, fruit juice, eggs and butter in the fridge along with bread and fruit which was great as we arrived after the shops shut and they were not open on Sundays. However my husband found the petrol station which also sells beer wine and some breakfast cereals.... The house was clean and well maintained. Plenty of everything.Lorrie was quick to answer questions and sent me a fantastic list of places to visit and places to stop on our drive from Vienna. So helpful even before we left the UK. Joy was great to have next door, my oldest son loved playing the odd game of football with her son - thanks! What was lovely was having her next door, but if you didn't need her you'd not know she was there! We also had a fab afternoon at the local swimming pool, thanks again for the directions.I have already told all my friends about this wonderful place, not only is the houses location fantastic for sitting and looking out the window but sooo many places to visit within a short drive. Ice caves, salt mine, summer tobogganing to name but a few. I can not express how much fun we had and I am sure this is partly due to Lorrie and Joy. Thanks.

I have stayed many places all over Europe but this may have been one of my favorites. The view is fantastic from the large living room and with a roaring fire and a few drinks you can bet this will be your hang out for most evenings! We were so content chatting by the fireplace that the TV did not go on once during our entire stay. The house is well stocked with many of the basic necessities for your stay and Joy is a great onsite liaison for making sure you have every thing you need without being intrusive. The town of Hallien offers several grocery store options (recommend Interspar) and has a lovely old section for strolling through shops and grabbing a drink. The owner, Lorrie, is happy to answer any questions you have prior to arrival which helps make the stay even more pleasant. The proximity to Salzburg and the many other things there are to do in this area ultimately made this selection a no-brainer. I look forward to having the opportunity to stay here again sometime in the future!

This was an amazing open plan house, tastefully decorated with stunning views of the mountains. You really need a car if you're going to stay here as its a bit off the beaten track, however the upside to that was a much larger house with a garden in a quiet location. The caretaker lives in the house next door and greeted us on arrival. She'd added some of the essentials to the fridge so we had fresh milk, bread etc and gave us lots of advice on the house, surroundings and things to do. The house was very clean and there was lots of cupboard space in the bedrooms and the house had a lovely feel to it. We went as a family of four with two kids (age 9 and 7) and they loved playing in the garden and it was a great place to retreat to after a busy day in the mountains or sight-seeing in Salzburg. Driving into Salzburg was pretty straightforward from the house and we used the park and ride a few times which worked well for us. Overall I'd recommend the house very highly, I've stayed in quite a few holiday rentals and I spent quite a bit of time trying to find somewhere nice near Salzburg for our holiday. This was a fantastic find and I'd have no hesitation in using it again.

This house is in an excellent location - surrounded by fields, with beautiful views, but also close to the autobahn to Salzburg, which is about 20 minutes away. Short drives take you to the salt mines, ice caves, Berchesgaden and lots of great hikes. Hallein is an attractive old town in walking distance or a 5 min drive. The house itself is attractively furnished, well equipped and very comfortable - host Joy is friendly and helpful.

I have visited this house for a 3 weeks with my family. Great country house, excellent place in Zalzburg. High level of quality and service. Can recommend for family rest and people who like alpine skis (because the track is near with the house too).
