Cancellation, Rescheduling, No Show, and Early Departure Policy
Each of our cabins is privately owned, and cancellations impact the owners significantly. Please review this policy before booking:
31+ Days Before Check-In:
Cancellations, rescheduling, or changes must be made in writing and confirmed by Sliding Rock Cabins® at least 31 days before your original check-in date. You will receive a refund minus a $65 cancellation fee.
Within 31 Days of Check-In:
Any changes, cancellations, or rescheduling requests made within 31 days of your check-in date will result in forfeiture of all money paid. Payments are non-transferable to a different date.
If We Rebook Your Dates:
If we can rebook your cancelled dates with another guest, we will refund you for the portion we are able to rebook.
No Shows, Early Departures, or Reduced Party Size:
No refunds, rebates, or compensation will be given if you do not arrive, leave early, or if fewer guests arrive than planned.

We had a wonderful week unplugged . The location is great being on the side of the mountain was just wonderful. The river flowing was beautiful. The cabin was very charming and the location was great. We were an hour from everything we could ever imagine. We will definitely be rebooking !!! So many cabins to choose from. We can’t wait !!

The cabin itself was neat and fairly clean. Even left designated sheets for the dogs to lay on should they want to get on the beds.
The view was spectacular! The Ellijay River is absolutely gorgeous at that location. The current is swift so if bringing pets, be sure they are good swimmers before allowing them to get in.
Communication was excellent. They were very accommodating and quick to respond when we needed to add an extra night.
There were a few things that would deter us from staying here again. The biggest being the road into the property. While it is easily found via GPS as well as the detailed directions the rental agency provides, it a narrow and winding road - at times only large enough for one car.
The yard is of concern if you have pets as there is no grass - just dirt and roots. Quite understandable due to the canopy of trees that restricts sunlight but with the wet weather we had during our stay, we had to deal with muddy shoes and muddy dogs.
The cabin itself has a items that need attention:
*Smell - very distinct damp, fireplace type of smell that permeated our clothing. I had to wash even our clean clothes upon return.
*Pots and pans were quite old/used and some were very obviously not washed well with one not washed at all.
*One roll of toilet paper per bathroom is provided as well as one roll of paper towels. We had to buy more. I expected to have at least two rolls per bathroom.
*The porch and outdoor furniture as well as hot tub were sorely in need of attention. Dust, dirt, leaves and spider webs everywhere.
*A floor mat is sorely needed right inside the door. We took to using a towel we brought as a floor mat to keep from tracking in so much water and mud.
If just a bit more attention was given to this property, it would be well worth the money.
