Organized host, close to shops, easy transport links to city centre

Quiet neighbourhood. Close to Edinburgh city centre via bus or uber. Walking distance to shops (Aldi and Sainsburys).

Apartment walls very thin. Could hear everything from neighbouring apartments beside and above. Apartment not very clean (rubbish in bin, cup of tea rings on dresser, cobwebs, not sure what was on the washbasin and shower ??)Lots of non functioning and broken amenities (kitchen pedal bin broke, kitchen clock not working, lamp not working, outlet in second bedroom not usable, broken drawer in refrigerator, etc.). Just didn't have the 'Home Away from Home' feel I was hoping for with it being an apartment.

Overall it was lovely, clean tidy and close to everything you need. Would recommend and would use again.

It was close to supermarkets and transport links were excellent. Bus stop on the road outside and tram was about five or ten minute walk. Clean and lovey welcome pack left.

On street parking Monday to Friday you have to pay for which would work out as about £30 per day. It is free at a weekend and in an evening although you have to be out for 8am when parking charges start. We used park and ride so parked outside when it was free and left in morning parked up at park and ride and tram into the city. £5.50 for all day ticket and it includes Loithan buses. Also Frosted glass door on bathroom, the bathroom is opposite the front door so when lights are on or the light is coming through the outside window you can see everything. My Mum walked through the front door to see My husband sat on the loo😂

Apartment is close to city center, supermarket, MacDonald, bus stops are next door. Room is clean

Edinburgh stay

The apartment was neat & clean. It had all the kitchenware that a family needs. They were of good quality. Beds pillows towels all were fresh & clean. Washroom was also cleaned before our arrival. Added advantage is the location as there is a bus stop at 1 minute distance & behind a very big sainsbury super market. The big bedroom has a good size wardrobe with drawers . The host was very kind & helpful. All electrical were in good working conditions. I surely recommend this place.

The size of the second bedroom is small having a single bed but had place to hang coats , bathrooom is smaller and got burnt while washing my face at the basin as the heater was just behind. Didnt realize it and was my fault too. The glass door of the bathroom is 15 % transparent hence we family had to be in a room until the person finishes . May be the size of apartment in the Edinburgh city centre is of same size as compared to our london booked flat which were bigger. Kitchen is in the living room with a peninsula table and barely any space left to move around if all chairs get occupied and not much space to keep plates glasses & food.

A good base from which to explore a great city.

The property is in a good location with good transport links; it is clean with a good shower, good beds and there are plenty of restaurants nearby.

The second bedroom has no windows and another chair in the lounge would be good.

Interior was extremely modern and clean. Facilities and amenities were all excellent and functioning well. Location was unbeatable - takes no time to walk downstairs to the bus stop to take us direct to city Center, 3 min walk to a huge Sainsbury’s, Starbucks, McD, a short walking distance to many wonderful restaurants and takeaways of all cuisines. There is a huge entertainment park 12 min walk or short bus ride away as well with a Gravity trampoline park, a Genting casino, an IMEX, a 10-pin bowling, many restaurants and bars and even a night club which is amazing. Bed and bedding were comfy and super clean. Netflix and all the entertainment. Very impressed. Gill was excellent - gave clear instruction before arrival and always available to advise via Booking.com messages when we had questions.

A great place to stay in Edinburgh

Gill was a great host, with clear and helpful information throughout. The location was perfect for us, as we were visiting Murrayfield. The property was a 10 minute walk to the nearest tram station (Murrayfield), so handy for both the airport and the city, and less than 5 minutes from the nearest supermarket.

We were lucky to find a car parking spot. The street is a bit grotty but it is brilliantly situated for Murrayfield. The interior of the block is shabby before you get to the apartment.

Lovely apartment, really good value for money - everything we could possibly have needed was provided. Comfortable and homely. Friendly obliging property owner plus convenient lock box situation to get they key outside the building. Would definitely recommend. The four of us had a comfortable stay and slept well - a walk away from the city centre so convenient too.

Very happy with our stay

I was very happy with the apartment and its facilities with the option for a sofa bed, the smart TV and comfortable beds with adequate storage facilities. We had a small hiccup with no keys to the apartment in the key box but Gill was able to come round as soon as she could to rectify the issue. The location of the apartment is very good, 15 minute walk from Balgreen tram stop and buses available from Westfield Road itself and on the main roads which directly go to Princes Street. Whilst we were visiting there were roadworks on the road and on the main road but again it was only a 5 minute walk to the nearest bus stop to get into the city centre. You also have access to Sainsbury's and Aldi at the end of the road and if you would like a mcmuffin breakfast, Mcdonalds are at the end of the road as well. Gill was lovely, checking with me during the course of our stay to ensure all is well and recommended a good taxi company for our journey back to the airport. The only thing I would recommend for the apartment is to change the door for the bathroom or apply window stickers to give the occupant more privacy when using the facilities as the majority of the door is made up of frosted glass so privacy is not quite 100%. Overall I was very happy with our stay and would be very happy to come again to Westfield Apartment for our next stay in Edinburgh.

Some in the family were disappointed with no lift to the apartment so please be aware of this if accessibility is important for your stay.
