Dear Lisbon - Bordalo Palace Chiado

The location was excellent, the breakfast options were delicious, the staff were helpful and friendly.

Not much of a view, from the kitchen, or our room but that is minor. One lady was abrasive when inspecting who was having breakfast (not Caterina), and kept asking us “what room are you in?” Every time we walked by her.

The hotel is beautifully decorated, clean and elegant. The staff very friendly and welcoming. The breakfast was excellent.

Water bottles should be free or at least have 1 bottle per person per day for free.

We recently stayed at this charming boutique hotel and had an unforgettable experience. With only 8 to 9 rooms, the property has a wonderfully cozy, homey vibe that immediately makes you feel at ease. Here are a few highlights of our stay: * Immaculate & Spacious Rooms: The rooms are exceptionally spacious and very clean, making it a relaxing place to unwind after a long day of exploring. * Fantastic Location: Situated in a great location, it served as the perfect base for us to get around and see the sights. * Delicious Breakfast: While the breakfast setup is on the smaller side, it is very delicious and more than sufficient to start your day right. * Exceptional Service: The staff went above and beyond, but a special shoutout goes to Catarina, who was incredible. She made sure every single detail was covered, helping us arrange everything from car rentals to daily tourism activities. * Unforgettable Honeymoon Touch: We were celebrating our honeymoon, and the team completely surprised us with a thoughtful note, cake, and wine—such a heartfelt and memorable gesture!

A Few Honest Notes for Future Guests * Accessibility & Stairs: There is no elevator, so keep this in mind if you are traveling with elderly guests or individuals with disabilities. However, the staff is wonderful and happily helps with the luggage. For us, the stairs were not a problem at all. * Sound: The hotel is not entirely soundproof, and you can occasionally hear neighbors from upstairs, but overall, it remained quiet during our stay. If you are looking for a boutique experience with unmatched personal hospitality, this is the place to stay. Highly recommended!

Confortable bed, big room

Old and outdated building, windows doors didn’t close, Awkward noise in the bathroom. Really noise in the morning, since the breakfast place is really close to the rooms.
