Exceptional place to stay near all attractions

A great location just a short drive from Chatsworth and the Peak district. Also not far from Chesterfield town centre. A lovely place spotlessly clean with plenty of room. Jill and Terry were extremely friendly and helpful.

Great value, welcoming host, and an excellent location. 5*

We chose this property for its price, location and availability over Christmas, and it proved a great base. The host was friendly and helpful, with very generous breakfast provisions. The location was excellent: lovely walks in the park, easy access to local pubs, and straightforward drives into town and the Dales.

The sloping ceilings meant we banged our heads a few times, which may be uncomfortable for taller guests. Aside from that, the facilities were well thought out and the air fryer was particularly appreciated.

Great stay

Very comfortable studio with everything you needed for a great stay. we particularly liked the fact the outside area was enclosed for our dog to roam around safely while we relaxed with a glass of wine or two.

A wonderful mini break in a wonderful place. Loved it!

The studio was just big enough for us and our Labrador. It was spotless when we arrived. Plenty of choice of teas, coffees, breakfast choices of Continental pastries as well as eggs and bread which well exceeded our expectations. The owners were there if we needed anything quietly in the background. It was a very quiet area of town with lovely walks close by with a handy shop, bakery, post office etc just at the top of the road. Easy access to the Derbyshire countryside and also into Chesterfield town itself. Would highly recommend.

Somersall Park is wonderful!

Jill and Terry were marvelous hosts. I was visiting a local organization and their studio was perfectly situated. I loved having breakfast options already in the apartment and not heaving to go search for a place to eat in the morning. I will absolutely be staying with them again.

Friendly, welcoming hosts

Jill met us on arrival and showed us round. She really helped us out by driving us to the local wedding we were attending. It was a bonus that we were able to use the delightful outdoor area for our evening meal. The studio is a well thought out space that makes the most of a small area.

A few more kitchen utensils would have been useful and some of the pans are a bit tired. The hot water can be very hot indeed, especially if your spouse starts to wash up while you are taking a shower!

Just a perfect little stay.

Very clean and comfortable. Bed was lovely, and everything we could possibly need was provided. Jill went the extra mile to make sure we were happy, and even forwarded on a garment I had accidentally left behind. Highly recommend .

Great place to stay, close to Peak District National Park.

Nice and quiet neighborhood. Welcoming hosts, provided us with tips on hiking trails and places to visit. Walking distance to city centre. Everything was as described and expected.

A warm friendly welcome from Jill and excellent communication before our stay The apartment is situated in a lovely quiet area and near to a beautiful park and walk into town Apartment was spotless, welcoming and breakfast included 😋 which was great 👍 We felt completely relaxed throughout our stay and loved the outside area which you can sit in The apartment has everything you'd want and is decorated and furnished to a high standard We were able to easily walk to a nearby store and cashpoint, both about 3 minutes away ! Lovely little attic apartment with ensuite bathroom. Functional kitchenette with sink, microwave/grill combo, 2 halogen hobs, fridge with ice-making compartment, toaster and kettle. Loads of pots, crockery and cutlery. Continental brekkie provided (cereals, croissants, pain au chocolat, pastry rounds, bread, eggs, bananas, milk, butter and jam) plus some herbs and spices if doing your own cooking in the evening. Stayed with 2 dogs (no charge for 1 big and 1 medium) - enough room for us and both their beds. Very clean. Comfy, big bed. Lovely hosts - Jill & Terry (who helped when couldn't get TV to work). Lots of great walks nearby, reservoirs, pubs, places to eat, etc and didn't use car at all during our stay. The park at end of the road and left is lovely and everyone was friendly. Very quiet area and could hear beautiful birdsong in the morning. Only thing we missed was a teapot, just because we enjoy an old-fashioned brew made in a pot and don't touch coffee.

Had a lovely stay at Somersall Park Studio. The place was lovely and clean and in a lovely quiet area. The hosts Jill and Terry were very welcoming, breakfast was continental style with plenty to choose from. Very close to the little shop and other amenities at the top of the road and a short walk to the lovely park at the bottom of the road.

Great location to get to work in Baslow and fantastically situated for lovely walks. We had our dog with us and there is a lovely park very close by which made things really easy to manage.

A comfortable and peaceful stay, excellent value for money and genuinely dog friendly.

The breakfast consisted of cereals, fresh bread and croissants, jam, marmalade, butter, eggs, milk, tea, coffee, hot chocolate and sugar. This was in the apartment on arrival and was more than enough for our needs. There was a plentiful supply of shampoo, conditioner, hand wash and body wash. The owners were welcoming, professional, helpful and very dog friendly. Parking is free on the road in front of the owners home.

Amazing value for money, hosts go above and beyond!

We had a wonderful stay at Somersall, the location was superb for our daily adventures into the peaks, and Jill was so kind and welcoming and offered some golden information about the local area and transportation which were vital to our trip. The studio was spacious, and had everything we could have asked for. We met Jill on our second day and she was so kind and accommodating to our every need. We will definitely come again :)

Well located, a comfortable and welcoming stay!

Upon arrival we were greeted by Gill who made us and our sausage dog feel immediately welcome from the moment we arrived! The accommodation had everything that we could possibly want, well stocked with toiletries and breakfast items. Gill and Terry were even accommodating enough to provide a number of gluten free goodies! Whilst the accommodation was bijoux, it had a well equipped and functional kitchenette with everything we could possibly need. A large comfortable bed and an excellent shower. As hosts Gill and Terry went out of their way to make us feel at home and the accommodation provided everything we would want for our stay.

Great place to stay for a short trip to Peak District

The studio is situated well near restaurants and supermarkets and was comfortable with all the amenities needed to spend a few days in the area of Peak District. The owner's were easy to communicate and gave all the directions required to have a good stay.

Everything was as expected so there's no negative comments.
