Oxtoby's Upstairs was the ideal base for our trip to York. Beautifully decorated, spotlessly clean, and full of character — it felt like a home away from home. The location is unbeatable: peaceful, yet just minutes from everything. Thoughtful touches throughout made the stay even better. If you're visiting York, don’t think twice — this place is a gem.

Very central for exploring the city of York. Great spot to wind down after a day out. Beautiful view of the minster, from the front windows of the property. All rooms clean and well looked after. Nicely decorated with a modern feel, but without taking away the heritage of the building. A nice shared garden at the back of the property (looks like this would be handy in the summer months).
Can’t be helped with the type of property, but having to go up and down the stairs for the bathroom (especially elderly people during the night etc).
