Tuscan retreat

The location of the apartment is great - it is a picturesque, Italian village with a beautiful view on the Tuscan hills (from the street). The apartment had everything we needed for our stay and everything we wanted to visit was accesible by car and within an hour of driving (Volterra, Siena, San Gimignano, San Vincenzo, La Cerreta Terme...). The host, Christine, welcomed us as soon as we arrived and provided us with keys and all the information. She also provided us with a lot of information on what to visit/see.

There was a bit of a smell in the shower that was unpleasant.

The surrounding of the apartment is gorgeous, located in a romantic village. There is a small shop and bar in the village, and you can find restaurants in the neighbouring villages. The kitchen was well equipped and the bed was very comfortable. Perfect for short and long stays. It was a bit cold for us in April but the hosts were very kind and provided electric heaters. That helped a lot! We would love to stay again!

Located perfectly in the heart of Tuscany. The locals that live in the village are very friendly and helpful. The neighbor came by to give us brochures of the area. Restaurants, shopping etc. One feels very safe and welcomed.

No radio or local cable on tv, just dvd, (for weather and news it would be nice to have) and cell phone service very poor. No wifi at the apartment, but local cafe and bar has wifi. Nice place to have a glass of wine. Very thoughtful of the owner to share their wifi.
