Murmuria Taormina

We really enjoyed our stay- the host was very helpful throughout our trip and check in and check out was very easy. The Balcony was fantastic- very spacious and a great sun trap with excellent views over Taormina. The apartment was within very close proximity to the gorgeous old town with a supermarket, restaurants, shops all nearby. Apartment was well equipped with kettle, toaster, coffee machine etc and very clean.

Not a critique as Taormina is very hilly/steep- had to climb some stairs when coming back from old town, but very do able 😃

It was a very cute apartment, we especially enjoyed the gas stove for cooking our meals 😋 Special thanks to our host for being super responsive to messages

The sunny terrace, the view, big space of the apartment, clean, the fact that it has both a bed and a sofa, water and coffee from the host.

Unfortunately, the holiday apartment is located near the busy street with traffic and therefore it is noisier here than in the side streets. Also is far from center and the train station, you must to walk many steps and stairs.

The host was helpful and responsive in terms of organising an early check in for us and he also sorted out a taxi on our last day. The apartment had efficient air conditioning, an excellent shower and was clean and comfortable.  It's just a ten minute walk to the centre of Taormina with its many shops, restaurants and bars. However,  our overall experience was disappointing as a result of the inaccurate listing and for being charged for what should have been included. The host offered no refund or apology after Booking.com suggested I contact him.   For the sake of future visitors I hope Booking.com obliges him to update his description so it reflects the actual layout and amenities.

The listing describes a “private entrance, 1 living room, 1 separate bedroom, and 1 bathroom,” but in reality, the apartment is a single-room studio containing a double bed and a sofa bed— there is no separate bedroom or living area, which I had counted on as I was visiting with my adult son. Do also note that the terrace mentioned in the description is not private to this apartment. During our stay, the terrace was regularly used by guests from another apartment. The apartment is advertised as having a wardrobe or closet, but there was only a small set of open shelves—no closed storage space for clothes so we lived out of suitcases for our stay. Lastly, although the listing stated that linens were included, only the main bed was made up on arrival. I had requested linens for the sofa bed in advance, but they were not provided until later—and then I was charged an additional €30 for them. I believe if a sofa bed is in the description, it should come with  sheets and pillows.
