Simple quiet comfortable
Shower had low pressure and ran cold.
Nothing left for arrival. No coffee sachets or little milk pots unlike other places I’ve stayed.

The cottage is in a lovely quiet location with woods next to it, and around a mile and a half from Stonehaven. The beautiful Dunnottar Castle is about a 3 minute drive away, and lots of other attractions are not too far away.
The cottage is spacious and has 2 toilets (a bonus when travelling with family!). The kitchen is well equipped, and the beds are comfortable. The whole place was very clean and tidy.
No major issues at all - we loved our stay there. The only
thing I would say is that possibly the cottage may be nearly ready for a little touch up here and there - especially now that the weather is turning cooler. The fireplace was out of order (although the central heating works fine), and there was condensation on the insides of the windows on the cooler mornings.

We liked the quiet location and thought the property was going to be quite a nice stay for us.
We didn't like the fact that on our second day we got back to the cottage late afternoon and it was an icebox. We tried everything to get the heaters to work but nothing. We reached out to the property contact and after a few hours of back and forth communications (about 6:30-7pm) we were told that the heating and hot water couldn't be fixed and we'd have to find alternate accommodation. We felt quite abandoned by the owners and received zero assistance in finding an alternate and similar accommodation. The weather was atrocious and to find something that late in Stonehaven was really difficult. It turned out to be one of our worst days of our 3 month holiday. I would like to note that we were given a full refund for that second day.
