Dulcis In Vatican b&b

These kinds of places truly feel like a home away from home. From the first moment until I left, I felt appreciated and genuinely welcome at Alberto’s place. Check-in was smooth, and communication with the host throughout the stay was excellent. The rooms are clean, functional, and equipped with everything you need. The small balcony is a great bonus—perfect for enjoying a coffee in the morning or relaxing in the afternoon. I also really appreciated the small refreshments in the room, as well as the coffee and snacks available in the kitchen. After a day in the city, it’s a thoughtful touch to come back and find something to enjoy. The location is another highlight. It’s in a residential area rather than a touristy one, which we really valued. At the same time, it’s very convenient—just a few minutes’ walk from a Metro A stop, with buses nearby, and supermarkets and other services within walking distance. We also received breakfast coupons for a nearby café, where we could enjoy a hot drink and fresh pastries—such a nice way to start the day. Since we stayed during Easter, we were even surprised with a chocolate gift, which was a lovely and unexpected gesture. I also want to mention how kind and respectful the staff are. All these small details and genuine efforts from the host really make this place stand out. I would happily stay here again on my next visit to Rome.

The room, the location and very clean.

The accommodation was a stones throw away from the metro. Handy for sightseeing plans. The room was comfortable, clean, modern and had all the necessary touches to make the stay comfortable travelling light. The check in was seemless and instructions clear and extra information was offered with pleasure which added to the welcome. There were more than enough refreshments and snacks. The bed was comfortable with a good standard of bedding and pillows. The room was kept at a comfortable temperature.

It was directly on the main thoroughfare and so the traffic was incessant. The window shutters provided blackout conditions for sleeping but noise from the road was still heard. Nothing else of significance to note other than parking spaces in front seemed to be owned by other road tax paying members of the public. First come first served, as far as I'm concerned.

While the room is a good size and the external bathroom not a problem, we did find that there was no sound proofing. No matter how careful opened and closed our doors we made noise and we also heard others in the B&B. The walls of the room need cleaning, they are in a sad state and the chairs had huge stains on them. While there is a balcony in the common area it is dirty and yoy cannot sit there. Also although there is a garden you cannot sit there either.
