Very nice location close to union Square.
Classical style with a great rustic feel.
Definitely in the gem category.
Could have done with a kettle. Maybe a bowl so I can eat my breakfast.
There is a noise from the café restaurant.
That never bothered me.

Excellent Location… with a Side of Early-Morning Entertainment
Charming Garden Views… and an Unwanted Morning Playlist
The room was generally nice, a touch on the dark side, but with a lovely view of a garden — which also happens to be the terrace of a restaurant open until 11 p.m. Expect lively background noise with your evening.
The real surprise came in the mornings. Around 9 a.m. (or, on one memorable occasion, shortly after 7), the cleaning lady would arrive to tidy the terrace and steps outside, accompanied by loud music from her phone, worn like a portable speaker. Headphones, it seems, are an unknown luxury here.
On day one, I asked politely if she could turn the volume down, which she kindly did. On day two, when I mentioned the early-morning concert, her suggestion was that I “could always stay in a hotel.” Now that’s customer service.
