Kuredu Island Resort & Spa

The best thing about Kuredu is the food quality and diversity in the buffet restaurants (we didn’t try the à-la-carte restaurants, no need for this). The second best was the staff attitude, everyone was always smiling and being ready to help, any wish one might have. The third best was the diving centre, which offers great facilities and service, all guides were great. It’s quite pricey but that’s Maldives. We had the lowest room category, garden bungalow, which was completely adequate for us, as we spent most of the time outside (or under water 😉). There are better positions (even of garden bungalows) that we had, with direct view to the ocean, but we enjoyed ours nevertheless. The room attendant was very good and kept it clean and orderly all the time. The WiFi worked pretty smoothly, although there are places on the island where it doesn’t work, and it would be very helpful, for instance in the diving centre. The nature around is beautiful, all island is green (except for the beaches) and quite a few animals to be observed on land. In the water, sea turtles are a staple, and one can easily see sharks and other fish, simply by snorkelling in the lagune (very easy even for complete beginners) or in the house reef (a bit more challenging). It was probably not the season, I didn’t see many rays though (even by diving three times a day). Finally, the main reason we had chosen Kuredu was the golf course (my husband’s goal is to play in as many countries as possible, Maldives was 153rd). It’s pretty basic (6 short pitch and put holes) but it served the purpose. He didn’t want to play a second round though. They have night golf a few times a week (I think Tue, Thu, Sat and Sun), which is very helpful as it’s very hot during the day. The resort itself is very big and offers many activities that we didn’t have the time and energy to explore: tennis, football, badminton, volley, fitness centre, yoga classes, water aerobics (maybe also others but I can’t remember).

Extremely great place for snorkelling and diving and for relaxation. Turtles and friendly sharks, small fadder tale rayes are around the resort all the time.

The bed and pillows could have been more comfortable
