Kingdom 1 The Best Value AI Quiet Peaceful Idealic Island in The Maldives With Amazing Staff. Royal Island is a very very special sparkling clean and pristine place with an Atmosphere like no other place on earth. It's Remote It's all you could imagine a perfect tropical island can be but What makes it extra special is the Staff..... And The fact my Wife & I spent our original Honeymoon there. Try to visit over a full Moon December-April. ***Our Filipino Host was always on hand to sort out any issues promptly via WhatsApp Unlike many resorts in the Maldives that are run by big corporate international hotel chains this is run by one of the oldest Maldivian ones (Villa). I've been fortunate enough to stay with Villa 4 times since 1994 and stayed at Royal Island twice in 2015 and 2026. It never disappoints. The care of the Island , Its Lush Tropical Landscapes Surroundings Rooms and Wildlife are simply breathtaking. On the House Reef expect to see Turtles , Rays , Sharks and the Biggest fully grown Powder Blue Sturgeon fishes you've ever seen. Your Room is serviced at least once a day and decorated beautifully on arrival or for a special Anniversary. ***Our Room Boy Was so kind ,thoughtful and considerate and adapted his schedule to suit us. When we had a problem with our air conditioning it was replaced within an hour and all our bedsheets changed. Rest assured Royal Island Staff really do care in every way no matter what department. The main restaurant was exemplary. Our Waiter *** was the sweetest man ever taking care of our every need , smiling and always happy reading our likes and dislikes without even asking. The food was varied delicious with many healthy options and catering for those with allegories the House Chef / Restaurant Manager ***would specifically guide or cater for you. I think every meal we were approached and asked if everything is OK which is amazing for a buffet style restaurant. The Boli Bar The Same , Waitresses *** & *** were amazing providing caring service through always enquiring after our younger son when he would be studying for his diving Padi Exam delivering delicious Cocktails , Mocktails , Milkshakes And Smoothies on demand. Filipino In House Duo Two Degree Two piece Band were simply amazing and could play a sing anything. This is a Private Island Experience. It never feels full even when it is. You have your own allocated beach and sun loungers that cushions and towels are placed out and taken in every single morning and night. Service is not dead here as it appears to be in the UK. With the staff all knowing your name within days always smiling with courtesy and respect it truly offers a world class experience. Now , Over The years We've met some very lovely people in the Maldives who have remained special friends to this day. This time was No Exception. Now on this dream Island your find The Beautiful Soul of Indian Wellness and Sound Healing Coach ***. She is an absolute star of Royal Island. Keep an open mind and trust her is all I'll say. Meeting *** Can Be life Changing. Every Villa Resort needs a *** or to be trained by her at least. She's organised a program of Sunrise , Sunset , Yoga Pilates and Sound Healing with a personal touch catering for every guest. I watched her work with special needs individuals and was just in simple awe of her belief , care and dedication and what's more I believe she one of the most inspirational women I've ever met living her dream helping people. Unfortunately I was diagnosed with High Blood Pressure by the wonderful Island Doctor So couldn't Dive but her wellbeing program and her long chats with me really helped focus on the things I could change. *** one of those people if you meet your never forget , Such a rare Gem. Note Mr Villa. In fact the whole Islands staff are the cherry on the top as to put it. The Spa has to be experienced to be believed. Its beautiful but make sure you get an area away from the main kitc

    1. Location 30 minutes by local flight from MLE to Dharavandnoo Island, where you'll be met by lovely girls who will assist you with your transfer (by bus) and your luggage (in a small truck) to the port. Boarding a speedboat is a 10-15 minute ride to the resort. 2. First Impressions WOW. WOW and WOW!!! We were greeted at the pier by resort staff playing local drums. It immediately put us in a festive mood!!! The overall appearance of the grounds is stunning, the lighting is omnipresent, the staff is attentive everywhere. A 10-minute check-in and we're in villa 232. 3. Villa Pleasant interior design, fully equipped with everything you need, including an adapter, a terrace, and good air conditioning—no drafts in your face at night. The ocean is 10 meters away!!! White sand (just like in the Maldives, the very same... :)))!!! No cons. ...just one comment: - the distance between the villas is 2-3 meters. Young palm trees are planted between the villas, but they are very low and don't provide privacy. Perhaps a makeshift fence should be built until the trees mature. 4. Beach and Ocean. Fantastic!!! White sand, turquoise ocean, gently sloping water. Along the breakwater are corals with a multitude of colorful fish. Bring your own masks or rent one. A morning walk along the beach is a special treat. - Around the island - 3 km. 3. Restaurant We had FB, meaning breakfast, lunch, and dinner. No complaints, amazing variety and quality, a pleasant restaurant interior with a pool filled with colorful fish. Thanks to the staff – they are very professional. Special THANKS to ASWIN, a guy from India, who greeted us every time we entered the restaurant and showed us the table he had prepared for us. ASWIN was very attentive, very fast, helped us navigate the restaurant menu, and gave us lots of helpful tips. ASWIN – thank you so much!! 4. Drinks Many Europeans are interested in the prices of alcoholic beverages. The wine list is quite diverse – European, Chilean, South African, California, Australian. Price – min. 50-60 USD per 0.75 bottle Beer – canned or bottled only – 8 USD per 0.33 bottle Cocktails – around 12 USD. 5. Overall Impression Amazing. The entire island is very green – a jungle. The beach, the ocean, the service – everything is top notch. And most importantly, the prices are reasonable for a resort of this caliber. We recommend it to everyone – you won't regret it. We plan to return next year.

I’ve stayed at all kinds of hotels, from budget spots to luxury resorts. For this month-long trip to the Maldives, I chose a combination of value-for-money islands and high-star resorts to manage my budget. Royal Island was my first stop, and because it was so affordable, I didn’t have high expectations, but it gave me a huge surprise. The service here was actually better than at the more expensive resorts I visited later. This meticulous care was evident throughout the entire trip. For example, I once stumbled on a step at the restaurant entrance. Although I was fine, a staff member saw it and immediately rushed over to check on me with concern. This thoughtfulness was everywhere: after just a few meals, the servers had memorized my habits and would prepare my order without me asking. They were great at reading the room—responding warmly to guests who liked to chat, while making an effort not to disturb those who preferred peace. Regardless of the guest, they always maintained a genuine smile. This warm hospitality isn't limited to the dining team. Nearly every staff member you pass on the island—whether from custodial services, gardening, housekeeping, or the front desk—will smile and respectfully greet you by placing their right hand over their heart. Resort vehicles will yield to maintain safe distance for strolling guests. Coconut harvesters would stop their dangerous work to smile and greet us. Even the hardworking beach maintenance sand moving team led by local Ahdil, will enthusiastically strike up a friendly conversation and even help search for seashells for us. This top-down discipline and service dedication is the result of strict management oversight and amenable company culture cultivated here. Special thanks go to the Royal Island management team imbued with Four Seasons Hotels pedigree, led by GM Nasrulla Ali and his highly capable assistant manager Siraj, for instilling a high level of warm hospitality that is felt across every department in Horubadhoo. Royal Island is located in Horubadhoo of the Baa Atoll, a UNESCO biosphere reserve, meaning the natural environment is superb with abundant marine life. We could see schools of small fish of diverse colors, spotted & eagle rays, and even baby sharks swimming right in front of the sunset villas. On one serendipitous occasion, we even witnessed a procession of dolphins swimming by the resort pier less than 10 meters away. The whole island is lush with trees like ancient banyan trees growing to incredible heights with sprawling, thick aerial prop roots roots that anchor firmly into the ground. You can walk around the isle on hand paved road in about forty minutes. Although mosquitoes are standard for a natural habitat island, they thoughtfully provided repellent in the rooms. Regarding accommodation, I was initially hesitant about the older decor, but after talking with several veteran Maldives travelers, they still highly recommended this island. The brand quality of Royal Island is ensured by the parent Villa Resorts, which operates some of the largest resorts in Maldives such as Villa Park; as well as Villa Nautica and the higher-end Villa Haven. If your budget allows, the pool villas at Royal Island is highly recommended. Though there are only ten, the pools are larger than those at many star-rated islands, and the bathrooms have been renovated. The rooms generally have more aesthetic substance than the photos suggest, and the wooden furniture is reportedly made from rare timber. As we speak, beach villas are being revamped with a livelier decor. The dining at Royal Island was also surpassed expectations and was unexpectedly good; it was significantly cheaper than higher-star resorts, yet the food was better. I want to give a special thank you to the entire F&B team at Maakana Main Restaurant for providing a fantastic 16-night dining experience. Executive Chef Roshan meticulously planned the delicious, diverse international cuisine, with dishes rota

It is advertised as "Royal Island Premium All-Inclusive Resort at Baa Atoll Biosphere Reserve" - being "all inclusive" is the MAJOR reason for making reservation at this resort. However, I arrive and am told - 'oh no, this is not all-inclusive'. So I feel lied to and swindled into a 'bait and switch scheme'. Arrived thinking I would have all-inclusive, since that's how it presents itself... instead, for drinks, i was offered Water, coffee or tea. Dinner - water. If wanted juice, other than for breakfast, it would have been charged. Because of the 'bait-and-switch' swindle, and false advertising is the reason I would never recommend this location.
