Dreamland Maldives Resort

Enormous bungalow (50 m2 room + 25 m2 bathroom + external shower = 78 m2 total) very clean all the time. Good restaurants with varied buffets. A lot of choice for every meal. On the spot omelette and eggs for the breakfast. Our room (104) was ideally situated on the sandy beach and close to the main restaurant. Small dive center offering usually 2 dives in the morning and 1 dive in the afternoon + snorkelling trips to the famous Hanifaru Bay, the mecca for the manta rays. Nice spa with 30% discount in July/August. The resort was just 50% full at the time of our visit, which was pleasant, as the island is not very big.

The weather in August is often rainy, sometimes just a few hours a day. With the strong winds and big waves, it is sometimes not possible to go for a snorkelling trip to see the mantas at Hanifaru Bay. Our trip was postponed for 6 days in a row, until we had a weather good enough to sail. This has to be taken into account if you just come for a week. Moreover, the snorkelling trip to Hanifaru Bay is overpriced (USD 130.- per person) versus the diving trips using the same boat and faring as long. If you are a family of 4 and don't dive, paying USD 520.- for a snorkelling trip without guarantee to see the mantas is very expensive. A second snorkelling trip is priced USD 110.- per person, also much too high for the experience. As the boats are operated by the hotel and not by the diving center, you are sometimes not allowed to dive for days, if the captain estimates that the weather and the waves are too bad. As the weather changes very quickly, a bad weather at 8:00 when the diving boat is supposed to leave is good again one hour later, but you will then miss diving for that whole morning. The diving center has no control on this and is sometimes frustrated by the decision of very careful and conservative captains.

La atención del personal, los detalles y lo limpio y bonito que estaba todo. Se comía genial, el sitio súper bonito. Nos hicieron cena gratuita y muy buena por nuestra luna de miel. Quedamos encantados, gracias por todo!!

Unfortunately

Super familiär und entspannt alles und alle wahnsinnig nett ohne aufdringlich zu sein. Waren danach im Dusit Thani was wesentlich teurer und luxuriöser war aber da war es lediglich falsche Freundlichkeit und nervig und nicht mal besonders gut nur teuer! Wir wären lieber weiter dort geblieben! Toll ist auch die Vielfalt an Tieren auf der Insel dank des Bio Pools mit Süßwasser dort sammelt sich alles mögliche. Einfach eine tolle Anlage!

Die Qualität der Matratzen könnte besser sein die sind etwas arg hart und spärlich. Aber sonst ist alles wirklich perfekt. Mich persönlich hat es nicht gestört aber meine Frau.
