Isolated and peaceful but easily accessible location

We weren't sure of the location when we booked but we knew it was close to Arezzo, our base location. The taxi driver that took us up to the villa was a bit hesitant because of the curves and having to shift down to 1st gear a few times. LOL! But, once we got to the villa, the views were breathtaking. We loved watching the sunrises, sunsets and approaching storms from the kitchen. We rented a car and got used to going up and down the hill every day.
The hosts left us a goody bag with wine and the makings for pasta when we arrived which was greatly appreciated since we had no time to eat any dinner in town.
We weren't aware that there was an apartment downstairs when we reserved. The photos showed the sitting area down below which we realized we weren't able to utilize. But it didn't take away from our overall enjoyment of the villa.
It was unfortunate that we weren't able to utilize the pool, but we've owned a pool for 25 years so we understand and can empathize issues related to taking care of a pool. We did enjoy it our last night.
