Aalborg City Rooms ApS

I’d a very comfortable stay in City Rooms. The room was basic but large enough and very clean. The kitchen was well provided for and I was able to cook several meals. The dinning area is in the kitchen on a small table. The apartment is 20 minutes walk across the bridge from the center of time but beware the bridge opens regularly for shipping.

The check in time of 1600 is late. I asked for earlier and eventually got into my room about 1500, which is normal. Also, the shower has no partition from the rest of the toilet bar a curtain. The floor gets wet around the toilet as a result. There is one bathroom/toilet for 3 rooms which wasn’t a problem for my stay but might be for others. Small things as I was happy with my stay.

It looked nice, it was very clean, the beds were comfortable, there was enough space, there were enough amenities and you could refrigerate and cook your own food. Like no complaints here whatsoever.

The only thing I really didn't like was how loud the cars were outside. With the windows closed it was too warm so we kept them open most of the time. But it made sleeping difficult. I'm sad to write this cause the rest of the place was really nice...

The location and facilities were excellent. We couldn't believe it when we arrived as it was such good value.

We parked directly opposite the accommodation on the road and got a parking ticket. It was well back from the junction as per the instructions so we still don't know why we got it. Also, someone tried to steal our buikes from the roof of the car in the night. Not a reflection on the accommodation but worth knowing. It seemed like a lovely neighbourhood but you never know.

The host was very friendly and quick in his responses to all my questions. He also could tell me where it was safe to park in order to avoid a fine. The location is v central and parking is free so it’s a big plus.

The pillows were too flat and soft so unfortunately my husband and I slept really badly. There were only 4 pillows & blankets even though we registered the stay for 5 people. There were also only 4 bath towels for 5 people as well. Even though we were told that there will be 6 towels available. Because it was just a one night stay hence I didn’t contact the host about this. I am sure that he would have brought what we needed if I had asked. We also could not get the kettle to work for some reason ( might be because we didn’t turn on the right button on the walls that connects to the electrical supply ?)
