Indeed a rustic house in the hills across the lake from Locarno

We were greeted warmly by Najat. The cosy, one-room apartment was immaculately clean and comfortable. Since we only spent one night, we made full use of the kitchen. It perfectly suited our needs as a couple. Views of the lake and garden from all the windows. We had direct access to the garden. The village car park may be used but it’s no guarantee that you will find a free space during high season.

This is not a criticism of the house but a warning about the road leading to it: tight curves and narrow lanes.

Friendly host, clean and cosy accommodation

Very friendly host and cosy accommodation with all you need for self catering. You will need to drive for food or entertainment and the road has some tight corners but this wasn't a problem for us. There are seated areas outside and some stunning views of the lakes, mountains and sunsets to enjoy. I would stay here again

the apartment has very nice garden and view to the lake, was not expensive and good value for money

there is a little privacy so you have to close the door and window and then there is a little air. also a bit complicate to park the car, a little far away.

House was ok, nice and clean with a decent garden were you can enjoy an afternoon drink or make a bbq. Host was nice and helpful saying the " must to do things" around the area. Kitchen was equipped in a way you can cook yourself a meal with no issues.

Sound insulation it's not great, everything goes quiet at night so you can sleep, but maybe I've been just a lucky one. If you considering this house on the winter I have a felling you will feel cold as there is only two heating points, one is hanging of the ceiling, the other is the bathroom mirror itself, so not the most efficient way. With that said, we didn't felt cold during our stay but bare in mind it was beginning of April with 15 degrees outside.

No problems, just the host wasn't home when we arrived. She arrived within a few minutes though.

OK for the reason of our visit in this area

There was no view, only a window towards the road and the room was very small. No breakfast is derved but ther is a very small coffeeshop next door and a charming lady serving you!

The location is good, nice view from the courtyard, pretty nice village, the host was nice telling us which are the best places to visit nearby.

Parking is not private as mentioned on Booking.com, but a public one and it is around 2-300m distance from the property. Cleaning can be better, there was a strange smell in the bathroom/ towels. The restaurant nearby should be booked few days in advance for dinner. Unfortunately we did not knew about that, so for the dinner we had to go by car in other villages.

Good enough for the price in that location

Nice area, the view from there of the Lago Maggiore is nice, not directly from the room but close by. The Host was very friendly and asking if we were needing anything whenever she was seeing us. The neighborhood was also good and local, nice restaurant close by with a great view as well.

The apartment was a bit small, and there were not so many areas to place things around, then again that is why the price is so good. There was no air conditioning so we needed to keep the windows open and because the apartment is right next to the street when a car was going by or people were passing by talking it was noisy even though it was mostly a quiet street. Special note, the 5:00AM delivery guy every morning, whoever that was arriving right next to our window opening and closing the Van door and turning back on that diesel engine.

Consiglio il soggiorno solo nella stagione calda

Gentilezza della proprietaria e pulizia del locale.

locale prenotato da 30mq ma trovato piccola stanza da penso nemmeno di 20mq. Il radiante è attaccato al soffitto quindi il caldo rimane in alto e la stanza non si riscalda bene. Non c'era neppure il parcheggio privato e la signora mi ha accompagnato al parcheggio pubblico non vicino al locale. Non c'era altra possibilità di parcheggiare quindi, se fosse stato pieno non so come avrei potuto soggiornare lì. La strada per almeno un km, penso anche di più, è stretta ed in saluta. Se si incontra bus o veicolo bisogna far manovra sino alla prima rientranza.

Ausstattung ist zweckmässig und liebevoll

Es hat feuchter Kellergeruch; die Handtücher riechen nicht frisch, weil sie vermutlich schon lange hängen. Duvets zu warm und plastifizierte Matratzenauflage führen zu Nachtschweiss. Was nützt eine Kaffeemaschine, wenn es keine Kaffeekapseln hat?

Un petit coin bien sympa

hôte habitant sur place. Très bon accueil (en français). Toutes les commodités dans un studio petit mais parfaitement fonctionnel. Accès à un petit jardin avec vue sur le lac pour l'apéro ou le petit déjeuner.

Le parking est un peu plus loin mais on peut décharger devant le studio.

Es war einfach perfekt!

Schöne Lage hoch über dem Lago Maggiore, ein wunderschönes Zimmer und Bad, sehr dekorativ und schön eingerichtet, wir haben un sofort total wohlgefühlt! Ein kleiner Tisch und eine Bank draussen vor dem Zimmer, draussen frühstücken oder den Sonnenuntergang geniessen, perfekt.

Lokalizacja była super, piękny plener i budynek zbudowany z kamienia robił wrażenie. Bardzo dobry kontakt z Gospodarzem. Sklep i restauracja przy samym pokoju. Polecam

Sehr schöne Zimmer in einem modernisierten rustikalen Haus in ruhiger, idyllischer Lage mit traumhafter Aussicht. Auch den Garten durften wir nutzen. Die Gastgeberin war sehr freundlich.

Freundliche Gastgeberin, Einrichtung & Zustand gut, schöner Garten

Die Ameisenstrasse entlang des Esstisches ist wirklich mühsam. Wir hatten dort viele Sachen gelagert und morgens lange gebraucht um sie wieder „zu befreien“. Sind dann recht fluchtartig los. Ich hab mich als Alleinreisende mit Kind Parterre nicht super sicher gefühlt, würde einfach das Appartement 1. OG empfehlen.
