Lovely location and quiet Reasonable price for the time of year and a decent base to travel about from Was clean and tidy

Unprepared for the deposit which wasn’t mentioned on Booking.com Be careful driving into the place as the potholes are bad

I'm not sure what we like in there... Was so bad I will never come back there

Very dirty, bathroom smell so bad and sofas in living room smells like puke! Everywhere spider webs, dust, even missing pice of kitchen surfaces... Extra pey for electricity, extra pey for gas no invoice or receipt...

Needs updating

The location right next to the lake, the area. The lodge was warm and cosy

Uncomfortable bed, dated furniture which had seen better days. Mould round windows, stained curtains. Broken cupboards in kitchen

You dont get what you paid for.

It was peaceful and quiet. Close to shops ect.

We received a message on the Monday before arriving stating the hot tub in our pod was not working and that we would be moved the day after we arrived to a pod with a working hot tub, we'll she lied. We messaged her and she completely ignored us, so your paying for a service that you dont actually get. Ive looked at other reviews and this isn't the first time carole has pulled this stunt, she is getting the money but not providing the service that she states on the booking. Very disappointed in the owner. There us also mould in the bathroom, needs sorting.

Nice location, thats about it.

The location was perfect for us, but that was about all.

The pod was dirty, the drive in was horrific, full of pot holes which have torn 1 of my tyres. The kitchen facilities and utensils were poor, fridge mouldy, no tea towel, soap, washing up liquid...basics which would have made a difference. Oh and I had a text saying we had to pay a £100 deposit, wasn't told about this at all.

Very bad experience will not stay again

Nothing as this was a false advertisement this was not where we stayed and instead they put us in a cold and eerie wooden lodge that had too many rooms as I just booked us one room and also booked to have a hot tub and didn’t receive that. Also the staff were really not very helpful when it came to asking to get a refund or to switch to the room we originally booked. Overall it was a bad experience and we did not end up staying so had to go elsewhere

Violation of consumer rights.

Nothing

- Fire hazard with exposed wires on plug socket - Fire safety hazard with stuck doors. - Stale/ musty air poor ventilation causing us to become severely ill. - Leaky roof causing water to leak onto our bed at 3am. - Mold on pillows and blood stains on mattress - Walls rotten from water leaking from roof - Lodge not clean and extremely unhygienic - Boiler constantly going on and off, probably hasn’t been service. -Stated no where on booking description about paying a “gas bill” at the end of stay. We believe this is a scam. -Electricity on a coin meter, again we were not made aware before hand. -Extremely poor customer service from proprietors/ owners, they did not care about our safety. Pure negligence

The entrance to the property was shocking big pot holes everywhere and rough terrain that set the standard of what was to come the place was a dump would not stop there if it was free

Not what we payed for not fit for purpose I have serious medical condition not able to use room you gave me as no facility for my Cpap machine ie no electricity or room by bed to use machine had no other choice but to payed£150.00 would have been better in premium inn to I had to upgrade to a room that met my needs it was a dump every thing broken and dirty did not enjoy as lost my two sons and needed the break i will not be using booking . Com ever again as tried to contact you and got AI computer when I needed a real person to. talk to totally frustrated

great location, the lodges are basic and a bit dated.

The location was very good, sitting next to a fishing lake, great if you are there to fish, we used it as a base to go around north-west wales

The lodges were quite dated, needing repairs. The electrics were coin metered, which was annoying. I would prefer they raise the price of the lodge and include the electrics , this was very unsavory.

Nice location but...

Large cabin. Nice location. Ideal for anglers. Powerful shower. Nice TV with good variety of stations. Clean bedding. Clean fridge. Generally tidy on arrival. Fly screens on windows (unfortunately they were all very grubby).

Unpleasant odour in main living area a bit like ingrained cooking oil. Window in main bedroom couldn't be opened due to broken mechanism, seen this pointed out in a Tripadvisor review from August 2024. This really should have been fixed. Lucky we missed the hottest weather of the week. Also many of the other window mechanisms look as if they are on their last legs. Hot tap in bathroom faulty. Bed in master bedroom very uncomfortable. All furnishings and fittings tired. Whole place needs a really good deep clean and upgrade. Cooking equipment (pans etc.) all need replacing. Chopping boards unusable. Coin meter for electricity - although didn't cost too much Sparse information in lodge, a number of brochures on places to visit from 2016/17 plus DVDs but no DVD player!

Disgusting

The accommodation was dirty. I went to Tesco and brought cleaning items to clean before unpacking and showering. We had booked for 3 nights from Friday to Monday. We left Saturday morning, booked, and paid to stay in another accommodation 1 mile down the road. When we checked out, staff didn't even trouble themselves to ask if there was anything amiss.

Nice and quite location. Ample space in the accommodation, rooms big enough. Beds very comfortable. Good heating.

A bit of maintenance/renewal is needed. A few issues that not critical but that made the difference from giving a 5-star rate. 3 days of torrential rain out of 4. But that's not the owner's fault, LOL

Tranquil pod in the peace and quiet

Lovely and quiet, nice drives and walks around the area

The bed and sofa wasn't the most comfortable. I was also expecting a lodge (as the name of the venue suggests) however we had a pod. This wasn't off putting though just make sure you check what you've been placed in prior to finalising.

Amazing value for money. The reviews don't do it justice. The lodges are so spacious.

We were really impressed at how big the lodge was. Lovely to have outdoor seating on the deck. Everything was very clean. We had a wonderful stay in the beautiful peaceful setting. Bonus to have a TV that weren't expecting.

We didn't see information from hosts re needing to bring own towels, bath mat, tea towels, toilet rolls. Also pound coins for the electricity metre. Maybe this could be made more clear.

Perfect quiet break away

The location is lovely, with a view out to the lake, very picturesque. The lodge itself was much bigger than expected, very comfortable, with good heating which is essential in the wintertime!

Beautiful place

We love staying at the lodges. It is so peaceful and such a beautiful place. This time we stayed in lodge number 4. The owners are lovely, they are so friendly and actually live on site. Nothing is too much trouble for them. The lodge was clean, comfy and was equipped with everything you could need

The bumpy drive in but that's a personal thing due to pain issues Just a quick mention to say the shower room isn't actually wheelchair friendly but we use chairs so I can transfer from my wheelchair to get into the shower room

Cosy but very uncomfortable to sleep in and away from everything with no wifi.

Cosy inside, warm. Good heating, nice field view though not a lakeside view.

No wifi, no lakeside view, no soap, black mold in bathroom, awful stoney road up towards the lodges, very secluded, Snowdon was not a ‘one minute walk away’, very uncomfortable bed with little sleep, loud hot tub heater during the night, hot tub didn’t look very clean, the outside of the pods were covered in moss and did not look like the pictures advertised. We ended up staying 2/4 nights we booked.

Basic but Cozy

Quiet Location. 5mins drive to local coastal town. Plenty of dinner options close by. Central location to lots of places to visit. It was very basic but just what we required. Tv had free view and lots of channels.

No WiFi. Bed was hard. No shop on site for basics. Only 1 toilet roll provided.

Expected a cabin but got a pod . Furniture really old and tired . Handle missing off a cupboard . Towel rail all tarnished . Cupboard by door full of papers and litter, untidy . Square box seats outside filthy . Wouldn’t bench outside not stable and very bad condition . Cover on the hot tub filthy . Drive to resort , a Mile of uneven stones , not great for car tyres .
