Furnishings a bit tired

We had an amazing experience with the lodging, host and surrounding area! We are a a family of 4 including 2 young children from the USA and felt safe, comfortable and at-home for our entire stay. We spent a week in Amsterdam while one of us worked, the other got to explore the city with the kids. The apartment was just as advertised but felt larger when we got there. We had plenty of space to sprawl, read books, play cards, relax, eat and sleep. The front windows have a great view of the canal that was calming, especially at night. The kitchen had plenty of items to cook and eat with, good size fridge and kitchen/dining room table that could handle more than 4 of us. We did a ton of walking to and from the apartment during our stay or took Uber if we strayed too far by nightfall or if the kids were too tired. There's a grocery store within walking distance which was very convenient. If you're up for pedaling, you can find a sweet ride at (Black Bikes - Vondelpark) place about a 10-12 minute walk to and then ride to Vondell Park and explore all of the trails, we even found a small restaurant in there. Our stay was more than we expected and we would love to visit again. Lastly, our host was communicative, super friendly and made sure we always had everything we needed. 10/10!

Nothing could've been better but the stairs are steep and tight which wasn't a surprise given previous reviews. Just beware for heavy suitcases/bags need extra muscle and finesse to get them up/down. We learned that lots of the buildings in Amsterdam have steep stairs, so this place was no different.
