We were not informed that the flat was located on the top floor. After a long 5-hour drive, we arrived late at night in heavy rain, carrying multiple heavy suitcases. To our surprise, there was no lift, and we had to carry all our luggage up several flights of stairs, which was exhausting and inconvenient. Upon reaching the flat, we found cold bathrooms and non-functioning facilities. The main reason we booked this property was because we needed two bathrooms with toilets, but unfortunately, our experience fell far short of expectations. At the Regent, only one toilet was functioning properly, and only one bathroom had a shower with hot water. To make matters worse, the bedroom windows were not sealed properly, leaving the bathroom we were forced to use uncomfortably cold due to drafts. We reported these issues to the property managers, who offered to send a technician during the day. However, since we were out touring, this was not feasible. Considering the significant amount of money we spent on this property and our vacation, we couldn’t afford to waste time waiting for repairs. Despite requesting the master key to resolve the problems, nothing changed during our stay. It was only on the day of our checkout that we met the property manager, who informed us there was a switch outside the bathroom for hot water. This critical detail, had it been communicated earlier, could have saved us a great deal of discomfort and time. After spending so much for a place with 2 bathrooms we had to Que up to use one. This experience reflects a serious lack of communication and preparation. Why wasn’t the property properly inspected before our arrival? Why isn’t there a checklist in place to ensure all amenities are functional and guests are informed of essential details? We spent a huge amount of money expecting a comfortable and hassle-free stay, but what we received was a cold and disappointing experience.
