Old town Brewery Apartment

Good sized apartment with two bathrooms, one en suite. There was a good lounge area that we could all get comfortable in to watch World Cup matches. The kitchen was well equipped and there was a good sized dining table. The location is excellent, just a short walk up an alleyway brings you to the Royal Mile. It is also not too much of a walk to Edinburgh Waverley rail station, even with a couple of cases. Calton Hill is a short walk and offers wonderful views of the Firth of Forth and Arthur's Seat. We had a plumbing issue, these things happen, but it was quickly sorted by the hosts and a very pleasant, professional plumber.

Nicely decorated apartment with 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. It was cosy and offered everything in be needs. Location and free parking were other perks. Easy 10 minutes walk to train station and 15 minute walk to the heart of the city.

Centrally located.

We arrived around 4pm and couldn't gain access. The owner very quickly got this sorted for us. There had been a plumbing issue therefore, the cleaner was still in the apartment and a long way from being finished! After a long day of travelling & walking about the city, we were looking forward to relaxing for a bit before dinner, but the apartment was nowhere near ready. We had to go straight out again & it meant no downtime for us. The first night, my husband was woken up by rustling in the apartment. It was a mouse! I contacted the owner the next day to inform her. Her son went round to lay mouse traps. He left us chocolates & we were offered a 25% refund. I really didn't want to post a bad review as the owner was apologetic & communication was great. We are also understanding people, but there appears to be no sign of this refund, which is ridiculous considering there was a mouse running about the place!
