Old town Brewery Apartment

2 bed and 2 bathroom was really useful. The adjascent lane was a fab short cut to the roal mile. Great location. Spacious. Had all we needed.

The comfort of the rooms and the layout

There were no tea towels and no kitchen towel. The drier part of the washing machine was difficult to understand.

Close to the station, Hollyrood house, Calton Hill and Royal Mile. Cool and comfortable

Some of it could have done with a deeper clean. People I know who are fussier than me and my husband might have grumbled.

We arrived around 4pm and couldn't gain access. The owner very quickly got this sorted for us. There had been a plumbing issue therefore, the cleaner was still in the apartment and a long way from being finished! After a long day of travelling & walking about the city, we were looking forward to relaxing for a bit before dinner, but the apartment was nowhere near ready. We had to go straight out again & it meant no downtime for us. The first night, my husband was woken up by rustling in the apartment. It was a mouse! I contacted the owner the next day to inform her. Her son went round to lay mouse traps. He left us chocolates & we were offered a 25% refund. I really didn't want to post a bad review as the owner was apologetic & communication was great. We are also understanding people, but there appears to be no sign of this refund, which is ridiculous considering there was a mouse running about the place!
