About this villa rental
Superb holiday villa in an idyllic location. with private pool near the village of Claviers in Provence. The comfortable villa is located in a quiet area on the edge of the picturesque village. From the terrace you have a magnificent view over the valley, the hills and the village. The beautiful swimming pool is located lower in the ground. There is a summer kitchen with a covered terrace equipped with hot plates, a microwave and a fridge. The center of Claviers is a short distance away (300 m), there is a grocery store, a bakery and a few restaurants and cafes. You will find all amenities, including large supermarkets, in Draguignan. . In the surrounding area, you will find characteristic villages such as Bargemon, Fayence, Châteaudouble, Lorgues, Flayosc, Salernes and Tourtour. The famous Thoronet Abbey is also worth a visit, as well as the Gorges du Verdon. Between Callas and La Motte, you will find the magnificent Gorges de Pennafort and the red mountains of Colle du Rouet. The Mediterranean beaches of Saint-Raphaël, Fréjus, Sainte-Maxime, Saint-Tropez and Cannes are easily accessible from your holiday home. At La Motte there is a golf course

We were pleasantly surprised by our stay. The location was lovely (car needed) and the village only a short walk away. Lovely trails near by if you fancy a run or a walk.
The host, Philippe, was very good with communication. Check in and check out were both easy (though do make sure you can make calls abroad). There was an inventory to check on arrival and departure - quite generic so it didn't detail every item, but more regards general condition.
The house is on two floors with the main open plan living area upstairs (kitchen, sitting room, dining area, balcony, toilet, and one double bedroom with a bath and sink). Downstairs is the utility room (with washing machine, shower and toilet) and the second double bedroom. The third double bedroom is accessed from outside which worked for us but if you want to lock the main door at night then the occupants of the third bedroom cannot access the house. A second key would solve this.
The bedrooms are a good size but note the beds cannot be split into two singles. Sheets/pillow cases and towels are required. Square pillow in some rooms!
Overall the house is well equipped and clearly a lot of working has been done to improve the property. Shower pressure is good and the pool is a good size - 10m long and deep. Plenty of parking. TV is good and we could log into our streaming apps. WiFi connection good.
In summary a solid property which suited our family - 2 adults and 2 children (9 & 11). Thanks Philippe.

Stunning location, beautiful views, great property, bar a few issues as per the below. Overall property was clean, but the kitchen could have been cleaner. Unfortunately we were not advised prior to our arrival that we would need towels and sheets. This resulted in us having to buy our own. Not having these is not a problem in itself as we could have taken our own, but not being made aware meant we were without these things at 7 pm when we arrived. The weather was beautiful, around 36 degree heat. The property is fitted with an air circulation unit which was turned off. There were no fans provided and so we had to purchase two fans as well. There was one broken parasol by the pool (to cover 6 sun beds), which despite raising with both the owner and the local rep was never replaced or repaired whilst we were there. The walk to the village is only about ten minutes which is great, but is down an uneven fairly steep track. No issues with a steep uneven track, as long as you are fit and able. Aside the above, the house was as described, the pool was great and we had a super holiday . We would recommend this house, just be mindful of the areas highlighted.

La maison correspond à la description dans l’annonce. Accueil très agréable et la dame était disponible pour répondre à nos questions. Très belle piscine avec une magnifique vue sur le village.
Nous recommandons cette maison.

Nous sommes globalement satisfaits. Le propriétaire est agréable ainsi que la personne qui nous a reçu. Cette propriété est dans l'ensemble fonctionnelle. Dommage toutefois, pour les points suivants
- Manque un grille pain, c'est toujours sympa pour le petit déjeuner
- Climatisation installée mais pas en fonction lors de notre séjour
- Pas de lumière le soir à la piscine ce qui peut être dangereux
- quelques petits travaux à prévoir mais ils sont prévus à priori
- Gros potentiel sur l'espace cuisine d'été mais pas exploité. Nous n'avons pas eu envie d'y déjeuner, de part sa situation éloignée de la maison et par son manque équipement
La vue est très belle de jour comme de nuit
