About this cottage rental

This beautiful house is situated on a large, quiet plot of land (6000 m²) with no neighbors.

It's an ideal romantic retreat for a peaceful holiday. It's a typical Provençal house that I lovingly renovated myself.

The house is small (approx. 60 m²), making it perfect for a summer holiday, as you'll spend little time indoors. Between the two halves of the house is a large patio (approx. 30 m²) with sun loungers and a large table.

In front of the house stands a large linden tree, providing shade. There's also a table under an old wisteria bush. It's an ideal spot for lunch, as there's always a gentle breeze.

By the pool (12 x 4.5 m), you'll find another shaded area with four wooden loungers.

The pool lighting is infrared controlled. The property has 34 old olive trees and numerous fruit trees such as mirabelle plums, apricots, cherries, almonds, figs, persimmons, as well as oleander, bay laurel, plane trees, ginkgo, eucalyptus, and a large linden tree.

For many years, we had a vegetable garden, but we found that the daily watering attracted mosquitoes. Therefore, we changed this detail this year.

Our neighbors are very friendly young organic farmers, and they offer excellent vegetables.

Ask for their phone number upon arrival, and they can pick up a variety of vegetables (and fruit) in just one minute :)

The village of Bargemon, with its typical village square shaded by large plane trees, is just a few kilometers away, offering shopping.

This house isn't just any rental property; it's the house we moved into in the fall of 2016.

Therefore, we kindly ask you to treat it as if it were your own.

A little paradise :-)

We charge €12 per guest per stay for bath and pool towels. Bed linen is €15.

Final cleaning is charged at €100.

The house is not wheelchair accessible.

A few words about the environment:

I ask my guests to be respectful of nature.

Water has been scarce for several years.

Therefore, please turn off the water while you are soaping up in the shower.

Please also avoid running the shower at full pressure all the time.

The hose near the swimming pool should not be used.

Only the man who looks after the swimming pool uses it on Saturdays to refill it.

Please always close the doors when the air conditioning is on.

To keep the house cool, you can close the shutters on the south-facing windows during the day and ventilate the house at night.

Please use sparingly with laundry detergent and dishwasher detergent. We have a septic tank here, and nature will benefit from minimal use.

To allow the animals, insects, butterflies, and so on to live in their natural environment, I deliberately let the grass grow long. Only one path runs through the entire property, so they can enjoy the flora and fauna.

You will receive immediate assistance with any questions or problems. We are always available for you.

We look forward to your inquiry.

Warm regards...

Ivan☀️

A superb location and wonderfully quiet. A truly authentic property with many original features and with much thought given to the design of the property to make the most of its position. As a family of four adults and one infant, our time (when not in the pool), was spent at the exterior table eating, drinking and talking - this is France! Thank you Ivan for allowing us to stay in your beautiful home which was truly remarkable.

This is a nice rustic house with a lot of personality. We did not have problems with mosquitos and most of the time there was a bit of wind (we where there during the heatwave). The pool is large and with sun from sunrise to sunset. There are a lot of small villages to visit with great restaurants, but be prepared to drive on small mountain roads.

We had a lovely relaxing holiday here. Spent most of our time by the huge pool which had plenty of space for the whole family. Close to village for morning baguettes. Excellent boulangerie in Callas 5k away. Lovely property, would love to come back some time.

This is a wonderful little holiday house with a spacious and clean swimming pool. We had a very nice stay in this typical french stone house and the pictures delivers the truth to what you really get. We stayed two adults and two smaller children. The house has a very lovely terrace where you can stay in the shade almost all day. It is a quiet neighborhood, a little remote, but close to the two beautiful mountain villages Bargemon and Claviers- with good restaurants. You can reach Lake st Croix in 50 minutes by car. It is the most beautiful drive through the mountains. If you are interested in French wines and olive oils, there are very good shops in this area. We had a very nice and relaxing holiday- and the children loved the pool. We communicated very well with the owner before arrival. We also wish to thank you the house lady, Jewels, who was very helpful during our stay. Thank you very much. Stine and Anders, Denmark.
