all was exactly as described
The wooden sidebar next to the stairs was really loose and needs to be fixed.

It’s extremely well located in Trastevere.
The bed was upstairs, which is normally fine, but the AC did not reach the bedroom so it was very hot up there. Luckily there was a sofa bed downstairs where the AC was great. We slept great.

It was in a great location. Lots of restaurants around and a short walk to the square
At 4:30 am we heard a massive bang that woke us both up. Before we could react there was another massive bang. My husband jumped to to run out to the living room to find our door wide open. a man had kicked our door in. He was now sitting out on the steps with a severely sore ankle My husband tried to talk to him, but he was unresponsive In fear, we just shut the door And place some chairs against the door, so it could not be kicked open again: We decided not to call the police as we feared a language barrier and remained diligent until the early morning. I immediately contacted the host to inform them of what happened and the only reply I got was simply that they would message the residence. Feeling unsafe, we kept all of our personal belongings with us the next day.
