    We had an absolutely wonderful family vacation at Kalu’s Hideaway. My wife, our one-year-old son, and I truly enjoyed every moment of our stay. The hotel is surrounded by beautiful nature, creating a peaceful and relaxing atmosphere that is perfect for families. The rooms were clean, spacious, and very comfortable. The food was delicious and the staff were exceptionally friendly, caring, and always ready to help. One of the highlights of our trip was meeting the legendary Sri Lankan cricketer Romesh Kaluwitharana. It was a real privilege to chat with him and take a memorable family selfie. He was humble, warm, and welcoming, which made our stay even more special. Thank you to the entire team at Kalu’s Hideaway for your outstanding hospitality. We created unforgettable memories here and will definitely return. I highly recommend this beautiful hotel to anyone looking for a peaceful getaway, especially families visiting the Udawalawe area.

    Kalu has created an amazing place, a beautiful garden with quiet spots to sit down. He even grows organic fruits and veggetables in the garden. We had a great time, it was a perfect base for a safari. Food was amazing, too, all people were very friendly and helpful.

    Fantastic hotel, we stayed for 2 nights with my wife and kids, room was very big with plenty of space for us all. The pool and grounds of the hotel were beautiful, the kids loved walking around them and looking at all the wildlife. The hotel arranged the safari which was amazing. The food at the hotel was very good, and there are a restaurants a short tuk tuk ride away. We definitely could have stayed longer here it was great.
