Stunning views and a wonderful stay!

I had specifically picked Haus Alpengruß because of the amazing views shown in the pictures (as well as the great reviews), and they did not disappoint! We had a wonderful stay here with adult family members from Germany and Australia. The apartment was spotless, spacious and very comfortable, and it was great that each of the three bedrooms had their own bathrooms (each with shower, sink and toilet). The property is located in a quiet area just outside of the centre of Lofer (about a 10-15 minute walk), and is almost completely surrounded by a stunning mountain backdrop. Each of the bedrooms, as well as the living room and very large balcony, have beautiful views of the mountains. We spent every evening on the balcony, enjoying the fresh air and beautiful surrounds. The kitchen was great and had everything we needed. As we were there in August, we received the Saalachtaler Sommer Card, which was an added bonus. We used it to take the Almbahn I and Almbahn II cable cars up the mountain, where we had a great hike up to the Grubhörndl. We also used the Sommer Card to see several of the gorges and caves nearby (Vorderkaserklamm, Seisenbergklamm and Lamprechtshöhle). Lofer was also brilliantly located for a drive across the border to visit Königssee. There are several supermarkets and restaurants within walking distance (or a very quick drive) from Haus Alpengruß. One note for international visitors - we were surprised at how few places in the area (not just in the Saalachtal area, but also the Chiemsee and Königssee areas in Germany) only accepted cash payments, so make sure to have enough cash available. I strongly recommend Haus Alpengruss for families and group of friends.

I was with my two daughters skiing in Lofer and we chose to stay in Alpengruss apartments. Everything exceeded my expectations; the apartment, the comfort, the hospitality, the cleanliness, the area and the Almenwelt. The apartment is great equipped with everything you need for staying with a family and full of charming details. We felt like we are at home. We are so happy that we found this place and looking forward to coming back next year :). Thank you Eva, thank you Wolfgang!

Great apartment and area which we surely recommend

We are a family of four with two kids, 10 and 6. The owner is really nice and helpful. On the first day we arrived late in the night due to a delay and Eva still greeted us with a smile on her face, The area is quite central and close to main attractions which we decided to visit such as Eagle's Nest, Hallein Salt Mines, Mondsee, Konigsee, Kitzsteinhorn mountain, Krimmler Waterfalls and Salzburg among others. The apartment is situated in a very nice and quiet area, surrounded with mountains and a river. Parking is easy and there are restaurants close by. The apartment is big and very clean. All bedrooms lead to a balcony overlooking scenic views. We surely recommend this apartment.
