Nice to have the kitchen furnished to make my own breakfast.
Being on the top floor with no elevator to bring luggage up is a challenge.

Great team running this hostel! We had a two twin room and found it comfortable.
The door handle to our room #4 needs repair!

The Albergue is very central and near the train and main bus routes to and from Dublin. It was easy to walk into town and the access information was simple. They got me a bottom bunk, reponding quickly to my query and the showers are large, regularly cleaned and hot.
There wasn't a plug directly beside my bed and the beds were a bit cramped together in thge room

The unique decor and layout with welcoming staff was nice, and location close to the train station was convenient. Liked the casual make-your-own breakfast and great showers spaces.
The office wasn't always open during office hours, and I couldn't tell who was a guest and who was staff. We didn't get towels in our room, and I tried several times to get some, but the office door was closed. Also, the mattress was terribly lumpy and uncomfortable, making for a rough night of sleep.

Wonderful staff, excellent location 5 minutes walk from train station to Dublin and car parking 30 seconds walk for less than 3 euro per day. Bathrooms lovely with plenty of hot water. Communal areas perfect with free tea and coffee always available and a nice breakfast. Rooms super comfortable with great pillows and fluffy duvets. 100% recommend to all, especially with kids.
Nothing it was all perfect.

This is a 'budget' hostel..and the room pictures were accurate on Booking.com. So I was confident we got what we booked. When we got there I wish i'd upgraded to the room with the mini kitchen as that looked fab. Two teens slept in the bunk bedroom, we had a double. The lounge/snug and Kitchen were lovely for a hostel. The walk inot town was 10 minutes maximum. There is no parking, but the website said that and we managed to park up the road.
Nothing!!!! Our mistake was to not use the kitchen and eat out!...would have saved a few pennies/euros...I have stayed in many hostels over the years, and as older parents with teens we may feel its past us..but we felt welcomed and it met our needs on that trip!

Beautiful old house with character and all facilities very clean. Best hostel we've ever stayed in , Rory the owner is an absolute gem too. We will definitely be back .

The staff were very helpful and friendly, and the private room was spacious and clean. Tea and coffee available at all times and everyone willing to share and help prepare food for each other.
Dormatory was overcrowded and dated and unusual odour. No privacy as no curtain on the bunk. Although every effort was put into trying to keep dormatory as clean as possible.

A few homeless people staying here. One of them pulled a knife and punched me when I asked him to be quiet at 3am.

Super clean property, with super friendly staff members and guests.
Very clean kitchen with a variety of tea and coffee and breakfast options. Showers/toilets also very clean. Many communal areas and seating options. I didn't rent a towel or do any laundry, but the prices seemed reasonable. Bus stops right outside, and a short walk to the town centre where there are a wide range of shops and food options. Nice nod to the name with some spoon puns and occasional deco- the perfect amount that doesn't over do it. Beds are comfy and clean, with easy access to plug sockets and storage also available. Would visit again.

It was easy to find and to get to with a direct bus from the airport, with a busstop conveniently located in front of the hotel. The room with a private bathroom has a bit lower ceiling, so watch out taller people. The room was clean, the shower was simple, but strong and it was quiet at night, even though it is a hostel and located next to the busy road.
The breakfast is really simple and we decided to skip it.

The room was spacious, with seating for both of us. However the floor was creaky and whoever was in the room above us took a long while to settle but eventually got a good night”s sleep. There is Dunnes Supermarket just up the road. Breakfast was ok.
There was no soap. Parking was an issue. The receptionist helped out all she could but we finally found a a parking spot at the next set of lights. It was free from 5pm until 8.30 the following morning. Breakfast is at 8am whereas we would prefer 7.30am.

It was not quite what I expected. A mixture of short stay guests like myself and long-term residents. Location good and bed was comfortable but some bedclothes were very creased with permanent staining. Area outside the bedroom door was poorly lit. Staff were quite friendly. I was a solo female guest, so I didn't want to draw attention to myself and made no comment. Kitchenette was poorly stocked with cutlery, etc.

Affordable, friendly manager, conveniently located on the road leading up to the railway station. Clean and tidy enough. Room was light and spacious.
There weren't many toilet cubicles in the bathroom area - you usually had to wait a while before you could go in to the toilet or shower, even when the hostel wasn't that busy.

We were given a newly renovated top floor en-suite room that was delightful, clean and comfortable. Staff treated us well with good recommendations for spots to eat in town.

Close to the bus stop for The 101 & 100X buses, very nice.
Drogheda has many churches to visit and are open on sundays.
Nice and calm hostel in a very calm and nice city.
