Saved our holiday! Perfect location, warm rooms & amazing host (Mr. Sebastian)

After a bad experience elsewhere, staying here was a relief! Sebastian welcomed us so warmly. The room was spacious, had high ceilings, and most importantly, it was perfectly warm. The cleaning team did a great job every day, and when we asked for extra pillows, we got them immediately. Facilities: The sauna and entertainment area are excellent. We enjoyed the sauna every single day after skiing—it was exactly what we needed. Location: Unbeatable. It’s just a 3-minute walk to the slopes in the best ski area of Kaprun. No need for a ski bus at all! Breakfast: Sebastian prepares a wonderful breakfast. There is a great coffee and tea machine, and the boiled eggs are cooked to perfection (soft-boiled) every morning. We are already planning to come back next year. Thank you for everything!

Not recommended due to bad behavior of the owner

The place is great and well located, however the landlady have a really bad manners, she shouldn’t choose a position where she needs to serve people, she wasn’t respectful and after asking questions regarding the facility she asked me to leave twice, first time in Austria to encounter with such bad behavior

A great authentic location right in the heart of Kaprun.

A great authentic location right in the heart of Kaprun. The guesthouse is owned and run by the Lachmayr Family, who are on-site. It was easy check-in and quick check-in, the room was comfortable and spacious enough (I had the one-bed bedroom with a private bathroom. What sold me on this property was the free parking at the rear of the property.

A minor problem, which wouldn't stop me booking again, the floorboards in the bedroom were creaky, which is probably typical for these old Austrian wooden properties, but I was conscious of disturbing people when I walked across the bedroom floor. First World problems ;) A toaster in the breakfast room would be a bonus.

Convenient family owned Pension at TOP location in Kaprun

The Pension is family owned and managed; very friendly host. Room is large, clean and has great beds. Facilities, including breakfast pretty basic, but just in line with a 3 star facility. People should not expect 4 or 5 star treatment in a 3 star facility, although hospitality is at 5 star level! This pension has the best location in Kaprun in "crawling" distance from the Maiskugel Bergbahn (ski lift). Parking lot was nicely cleaned in the morning after snowfall during the night, assuring a safe and convenient departure.

Nice place

Hotel right in the center of Kaprun. Everything within walking distance of 3 minutes, supermarket, bus, restaurant, cable car to Kitzsteinhorn. Excellent breakfast. Friendly host. The price-performance ratio is ok for me. PS: For the Czechs who keep complaining, see how much they want for a night's stay in Švýcárna in Jeseníky - 60 euros per night without breakfast, without a private bathroom in a dilapidated hut.

Great stay!

The room was clean, big, the beds where comfortable. The kitchen has everything you need. The bathroom is divided in 2 rooms: one is only the toilet, the other one: the shower and the sink. A nice small terrace in front of the apartment. Our room was at ground floor, with a view to the main street. No noise from the cars. Very close to supermarkets, restaurants, 5min walk, maxi, till the Maisi Flitzer (Alpine Coster) and the cable car. The lady owner was very nice, even though she speck's only German :)).

We had all the time a bad smell in the room with the toilet...it seemed to be a sewage smell.

There are many other places location wise as good as this place, go for other options

Very basic breakfast

Staff attitude, very rude. First night room was freezing, next day we shared this with the host and her response was if we will complain about things, she told us to leave immediately, I have never seen anything like that. Host does not speak English, we had to find someone to translate everything for us. Also it took us 30 mins to check in as the host left the keys in an envelope without letting us know. Overall can not mention any positive word for this stay apart from the good location which has a lot of other options in the area.

Superb

Location of Pension Lachmayr is awesome - 3 minutes by walk (even in skiboots) to Maiskogelbahn station, for evening walk for dinner or drink strategically placed near center of Kaprun. This was not our first visit in Pension Lachmayr and (hopefully) also not last, we definitelly plan to return :-)

Overall a good stay in Kaprun. We enjoyed this area a lot.

Excellent location, close to town center, cable-car and bus stops. Nice house and decoration.

Balcony is right above the busy main street, which makes it impossible to relax there. Maybe the other side of the house is better. Also there is no separation between adjacent balconies on one side, not very good for privacy. There is not enough "surface" (table, shelf etc.) in the room for your stuff.

Location in center of kaprun. You get kaprun summer card, which is a good deal. Free parking.

Poor breakfast and bad attitude from the owner. They dont speak english and its very hard to communicate.

Sehr gute Pension mit TOP Lage

Perfekte Lage. 2 Minuten zur Maiskogel-Gondel und eine Minute zum Supermarkt. Restaurants in der Nähe alle fußläufig. Sauna am Abend top! Freundlicher Gastgeber. Küche gut ausgestattet!
