Leyla Eco Resort

A great location for all the sights in Luxor. We were so well looked after by Ahmed and the hotel team and all of our sightseeing was arranged through him. The food we had for lunch and evening dinners was excellent. Fabulous views at night and early morning for the hot air balloons!

Some areas of the property need a bit more TLC and maintenance is required to ensure guests feel safe at all times.

Beautiful property!!! So quiet and resort-like! Huge rooms w beautiful views! Very friendly and helpful staff. Very Helpful w transportation and tours as well.

It’s located off of a main road on the west bank so some tour companies charge more fir pick-up

The hotel hosts and staff were fabulous. This family run hotel was very welcoming. Ahmed in particular was a wonderful concierge who organised all for us including airport transit, sites and temples visits, guides, restaurants and further trips to Abu Simbel etc.... so much to see. Grounds and pool are very nice. Location is near all main tourist sites in Luxor.

Appartment was very large but could have been better decorated. The road was under renovations... but this is certainly temporary.

The hosts were helpful in organizing some of the activities for our family. The home-made dinners were very good! Our kids enjoyed playing with the children of our hosts.

To begin with, Leyla could go from ok to great with some improvements but overall we were disappointed in our stay for several reasons. First, the cost for some of the excursions were way too expensive for what we received. For example 50 USD for a ride to Valley of the Kings and the same for a boat trip to Karnak and Luxor temples. We could have organized these ourselves and our guide couldn't even recommend which tombs to visit. The price of 5 USD per person (including kids) for breakfast was way too high for a breakfast which consisted of bread, hard-boiled eggs, some fruit and processed meat. The room was very dirty and I needed to get the staff in to clean it. Lastly, when going to the airport, we were dropped off outside of the airport gates and had to walk in because the driver had lost his license the night before. So we had to walk into the airport with 4 young kids in the heat.
