Yankov's House

Останахме много доволни от престоя - стаята беше просторна, чиста, приятен балкон. Дамата, която ни настани беше изключително любезна.

The owner lives in the same house, she welcomed us and was very friendly. It is always a great part of the experience to meet local people who treat you well. The room was bigger than expected, it felt spacious and there was enough place to put your luggage as well as enough drawers, chairs and a big table that can also be used for storage. The bed was big and comfy, which is a rare find for guesthouses in Bulgaria. The room was clean and came with a nice terrace with chairs and a table. Air conditioning was working properly, there was a small fridge in the room and a kettle for hot water. The location is good - appx. 10 minutes downhill to reach the old town, which is respectively uphill when you go back. The neighbourhood was very quiet as you are far from the city noises. There are a couple of lovely cats that welcome you on the street before entering the building. Overall, we had a great time and would very much recommend the place, especially if you are travelling on a budget.

Like in almost all Bulgarian guesthouses, the bathroom is not great - when you take a shower everything gets wet, but this is a common Bulgarian thing and it is not a big issue. Parking options are very limited in high season, fortunately the owner had a parking pass for locals, which she made available for us. It was very kind of her.

Excellent quiet location, landlady extremely kind and caring. Spacious flat with two bedrooms, massive living room, kitchen, bathroom and two balconies. Fresh towels provided.

Bathroom drain regularly and severely blocked due to sand and algae. No aircons in rooms but ceiling fans that are linked so that both work or not.
