4 adults and 4 teenagers for a night was fine but due to persoanl safety concerns, I WOULD NOT stay any longer.
Check in was a nightmare, a simple email saying what rooms we were in and the room/front door codes would have made things soooo much easier, instead we had to rely on another guest exiting to even get in the door, then muck around with QR codes and emails to check in (I really dont see why none of that wasn't communicated about in advance), random websites and communication through an Ipad to a receptionist that could easily have been on the other side of the planet.
Spent ages trying to find the "hotel" because it does not exist on google maps and theres another hotel nearby with a similar name. 8 suitcases and 8 day packs up 5 flights of stairs (no elevator) sucked. The rooms were a cheap and tacky disgrace (the room was spacious and the mattress and linen were comfortable to be fair).
Dirty showers, mouldy and damp windows and window sills, weak/poor handrails for the stairs and two rooms had a major step through the door creating a massive tripping/safety hazard. The bathrooms were gross and in desperate need of an upgrade, broken tiles and black stuff (mold maybe? Or old paint possibly) everywhere. It just needs the owners to do a proper tidy and it would be quite nice.
For the price, I didnt expect much but with a top floor open deck that prohibits food, smoking, alcohol, noise and pretty much everything else a deck would be used for, my advice is to pick somewhere else.
Location is probably the only plus, super close to Darling Harbour, although coming from the airport, the hotel (Its not a hotel, its a bed and breakfast, without the breakfast) is miles from public transport (after a 9 hour flight we used a taxi, making that irrelevant to us) so even the location is average.
Despite all of this, the staff were nice and helped as much as they could but a few simple changes would vastly improve the experience. Until those changes are made, pick somewhere else.

We booked and paid for a twin room, advertised as 2 single beds - received 1 bed. To fix it they wanted us to travel to a different suburb to their sister hotel. Not good enough. Took 2 hours to check in.

The hotel is bot called the prymont budget hotel amd is not listed on Google maps! Address very hard to local on email. Correct name and signage required. Didn't get pre booking link. Toilet was broken. Bed was clean and roomy adequate bathroom other than toilet. Extensive outside noise during the night

The facilities and no amenities like hotel.
Have to prepare your own sandals. And hair dryer and there is no staff incharge only by zoom
