The suite was fine - not outstanding, but nothing to really criticise.
What we did not realise was that this hotel was just one in a resort complex along the coastline, making guests a captive audience. The complex includes several (very expensive) restaurants, but they all have pretty much the same menu of very ordinary offerings and unfortunately you're stuck with it. If you're looking for a hotel to drop and do nothing, and you're not fussed about your food, this may be okay. We were not that demographic, so the hotel did not really meet our requirements.

Beautiful sea views; very good breakfast with huge number of options; great restaurants in easy walking distance. Frequent inexpensive bus service into the old town; heated pool.
We booked a suite and thought the extra space was mostly worth the extra cost but next time we might try one of the neighboring non-suite hotels that are slightly less expensive but in the same chain so that they all have access to the same facilities!

Hotel room had a very good size, perfect sea view, 2 very clean bathrooms, super rich & perfect breakfast, direct next to the sea.
Very quiet area with no cars etc., you hear thx waves from the sea always. We enjoyed that really.
Very good Italian restaurant named Bono was close by.
It’s 20 min. with the bus away from old town. Therefore we didn’t explore the old town by night as it was to far away.

Clean, well located, restaurant food quality
Buffet was average - quality, atmosphere and options. Breakfast was carnage - selection was poor and service was severely lacking

Sauna and spa was lovely, except the water in the pool was quite cold, you wouldn’t go to swim with your kids in this cold indoor pool. Breakfast was really good! Bed quite big and comfortable. Spectacular view from the window and a walk along the sea is magnificent. If You go more towards the centre then you can find cheaper restaurants and grocery shops.
5-star hotels are expected to maintain a high level of quality, including furniture that is in excellent condition. Our sofa in the room had holes in it, all furniture is dated, looks like pictures were done in 90s (with quite a bad taste) carpets wasn’t quite clean when walking. It was quite unpleasant.
Our beach didn’t have any sunbeds like on pictures, I guess the season is over.
We had a dinner as well, on Saturday the food was absolutely horrible (tasteless, dry, very bad choice of everything) and on Sunday it was opposite ( it was some kind of a bbq night and food was really good, grilled shrimps and meat and it was delicious).
Swimming pool was very cold, we were using the one at Royal blue hotel.

Breakfast was excellent. Room was so clean. The sea facing room was amazing and picturesque.
Kitchen had an electric hob but no utensils are provided. After requesting for some utensils, only two small pans were provided. There were no cutleries or any knife. Very disappointed with this.

It’s my 4th year in a row of visiting this Hotel, what can I say, one of the best to come and enjoy in everything that offers!!!

Staff were very professional and very friendly - cannot praise them enough! The different restaurants available were also a real asset, especially Zoe which we loved. front desk always helpful.
Hotel of this size could have provided its own shuttle to and from the city and to and from the airport. Some of the furnishings in the room were showing a little 'tired' (for example, the bedhead was worn).

Lovely rooms, pools indoor and out and plenty of food choices. Lovely walks around and such a place to relax

Good facilities and well located
Simply put….. the staff. It’s clearly a cultural thing, but I’ve never stayed at a hotel anywhere in the world.( and I’ve stayed in a lot.) where the staff have been so unsmiling and seemingly unfriendly. Never good morning never a smile. Whether it’s a cultural thing or not there in the hospitality business and you need to make people feel welcome and they simply did not.

Suite was very spacious and comfortable with a fantastic view of the sea. Very comfy and large bed. The breakfast was great, lots of choice and an omelette bar. A few different pools to choose from and right on the sea with stairs down to the sea. The staff were all very friendly and helpful. Easy to get into town on the number 6 bus.
Some of the in room amenities needed modernising or upgrading, eg the ancient hairdryer that was essentially useless, the ironing board we requested was broken. Our suite had a kitchen with hob kettle etc but no cutlery or plates making it a bit redundant. The poolside food (pool right on the beach) was very expensive and bad quality, which was disappointing given the high quality breakfast and nice food at restaurant Zoe.

The room and views were fantastic. The ambience of the hotel was also good with excellent staff and friendly service.
There was a lack of entertainment and social areas in the evenings.

Hotel is in a nice location and the facilities are good! Drinks a bit pricey but the same level as the other restaurants in town.
The toilet in the room has a bad smell, I told the reception guy and he told me that all toilets smell the same, they knew about it.

The excellent reviews aren't lying! This place was just wonderful. Amazing views of the Adriatic Sea, spacious and sumptuous rooms with en suite bathrooms, and a delicious variety of food from its numerous on-site restaurants! We'll definitely be returning.

Our 5 day stay was wonderful! Loved being just a short bus ride from the hustle and bustle of Dubrovnik. Our view on the sea from our balcony was stunning. Breakfast was great with nice open seating looking out onto the water. No hesitation in recommending this property.
No negatives.

Excellent position, great staff, complex had many and varied restaurants
The number 6 bus to Old Town could be a nightmare - organise an Uber for the same price

Room was very clean and beds were very comfortable. Location was convenient.

Room was very spacious, but AC was not working and we could not open the windows due to lack of screens on the doors.
Staff could be more courteous, and less rude. AC should be working at all the time.

Excellent staff; super room; Spa was excellent.
Food/restaurant offering was ok but quite a bit below the standard set by the rest of the hotel. Did not meet level expected from this quality of hotel.

Excellent room, and daily clean was great. Good breakfast and service. Couples massage was exceptional
Could have done with refills on coffee/milk in the room, but that is really picky. It was a lovely stay.

Beautiful sea view room in an amazing hotel - excellent facilities, a place to completely relax and unwind after a day’s sightseeing around the beautiful old town of Dubrovnik- excellent food, very friendly staff, loved everything about our stay
Nothing at all…wished we could have stayed longer!

Bus service to old town every 15 minutes and super to get on at beginning of the route (as always got a seat) also getting off at the last stop made things easy
The orange juice at breakfast

Sea View from our room were fabulous. The guys who sorted out the loungers for you by the waterside, could not be more helpful.
The restaurant put the prices of the food up whilst we were there. There are not many places to eat around the hotel, you need to walk into Lapad (10 / 15 mins) or get a bus / car to Dubrovnik for more of a selection.
The breakfast was disappointing, although a great selection, the quality of the food was not 5 star, and the food was never hot.

Extremely courteous staff. The hotel owner met and greeted the guests everyday at breakfast which is a nice personal touch.
I found it a little expensive for the money they charge.

We stayed in a deluxe suite with king sized bed, 2 bathrooms and a sitting room with a pull-out sofa bed.
Fabulous rooms. Really bright and airy.
Lots of room.
When we arrived there, the Air conditioning wasn't working. The heat in the 2 rooms was unbearable so we didn't sleep a wink. We had been awake since 1am travelling from Ireland..
We had booked a deluxe king sized room with balcony but got a terrace instead which faced the road, the path and the street lights.
When we tried to leave the doors / windows open to allow some air to circulate, the street lights were shining brightly in on top of us and the noise from people walking past our room and the traffic. We didn't feel very safe.
We raised the matter with the reception and were told that the hotel was full and the Air Con might be fixed in a day or two.
I asked for a fan, they don't have any.
It was fixed eventually!!
I would recommend NOT staying in the ground floor rooms facing the road, path, traffic and streetlights.
Also, every morning after breakfast our room swipe cards were disabled!!! This happened for 3 consecutive mornings. And we had to go down to the reception area to get the cards fixed.
On the 4th morning I advised the lady on the desk to programme the cards for the remainder of our stay please as it was becoming a nuisance for this problem to keep arising. She did and it worked.
