Perfect stay

Lovely big studio on 2nd floor, well equipped, everything you need for perfect stay, complimentary water in fridge, also washing up liquid, scourer, dish cloth & tea towel...plenty of hand & bath towels & always hot water.. also housekeeping staff called mid week to empty bins & change towels..good location but you have to go up a hill, felt steep for me, as I was only out of a boot after breaking foot a few weeks previous, but during the day you can go up through the gardens at the front..but the gate is locked from 9pm or so...supermarket on ground floor sells everything you need & is very reasonably priced & opens at 9am. studio was a bit dated, which was fine with us, but spotlessly clean...would definitely come back & recommend to anyone... Also had great AC...

Nothing we didn't like but it would have been great to have had a couple of sun chairs for taking to pool & beach as you have to pay for sunbeds at Benal Beach which iv never had to do before .. Balcony does not get the sun at all but we were ok with that as it kept studio a bit cooler.

Fabulous spacious studio apartment with great swimming pools.

The swimming pools and slides were fabulous! Our studio apartment was really clean and spacious! I loved all the beautiful plants, both outside and inside the apartment complex.

It was such a large complex, it was easy to get lost trying to find our appartment !! Mayb a few extra SIGNS wud be helpful! Also it took us a while to try and find the shop downstairs! It wud be nice if there was some entertainment in evenings..as we had to leave apartment every evening for entertainment!

Kingfisher staff were lovely. communicating in relation to the property. Apartment was clean and large.

Property was very large. Staff on reception were extremely rude and not helpful. Property was very noisy at night time. Paying for sunbeds at pool is not mentioned anywhere when booking. No air con is bedroom

Great location and all amenities required in the complex

The apartment was well equipped and clean. Close to the beach and promenade. The communal pool area was great for the kids, they did not want to leave! There is a supermarket and cafe/ restaurant in the complex and a launderette which was really convenient. I ordered a family breakfast pack as we arrived late at night...we were able to get up and make breakfast without the fuss of going to the shop. I received a WhatsApp message everyday from kingfisher staff which was really helpful. I could communicate any needs I had and I received a reply almost immediately.

It would be convenient to have beach chairs in the apartment for use by the pool.. renting sunbeds can be expensive over the course of your stay. Also it would be helpful to have a map of the area in the apartment.

Overall a great apartment, but still need some improvement

. Staff were very friendly and helpful, letting us know how to get to our apartment, how to use the elevator, etc) . We loved the little shop on the bottom floor for all the essential needs, very helpful for bread, milk, toilet roll and snacks. . Slides with surrounding pools were great for all of the family and a great activity to keep the whole family busy for a day, especially the pool bar for adults! . Great amenities in the apartment, like an ironing board, kettle, toaster, fridge, hair dryer etc. . We were very happy to be offered an early check-in time for the apartment (at an extra charge), as our flight would have arrived three hours before the destinated check-in time. However owner did not mention a €150 that is on hold, just in case in an event of property damage. (Please provide this information in the pre-booking information, not many people have a spare 150 that is in the bank, that can be pending) . The apartment had two balconies with amazing views of the pools and the beach side. Breath-taking views especially at night, when the pool, the neighbouring hotels and the beach front lights up. . The apartment's owner left us a 10% discount to use at the Benal Beach shop and they also offered us discounts for bike rentals, early grocery shopping and other options before arriving at the apartment.

. Bar closed early, before 8pm. No access to the pool table or surrounding arcade games. (More the building's issue than the individual apartment's fault.) Not sure if the bar is open late on weekends, we were disappointed. . Requested early check in and found the previous occupant's hairs on the tiles in the living room and bathroom. (Not sure if the cleaner was rushing for our early arrival). . The blue towels that were provided, caused blue fluff and bits of blue all over the body, floor and on the sink, toilet and bathtub. (Maybe change the towels or the fabric softener that is used to wash them) . The next door neighbour's kitchen is attached to the joining wall connected to the bedroom. Could hear them banging cupboards and cooking food very late at night. Disrupted sleep a few nights. . On the last two nights, guests were very loud, banging apartment doors and being disruptive at very late at night (after 11pm going onto 12am), could hear them from multiple floors down. (Apartment is on the 11th floor) Signs were posted around reception and in the main seating area about being quiet after 11pm, but staff did not told them off)

Kingfisher apartment.

The fact that we had British television was a great plus. It was value for money

We were not able to choose our apartment. We just got what we were given. We spend a lot of time on our balcony and there are some fabulous views from Benal Beach but ours wasn't one of them. The whole time the balcony was in the shade, no sun at all because of it's position. It could be something to do with booking late because our first choice, with a other company, was cancelled for one reason or another, so that could have something to do with it but, maybe not. Maybe it's pot luck anyway.

A very poor experience of what could’ve been a great place to stay

Staff were quite rude and unhelpful. We didn’t feel welcome at all so spent very little time on the complex The complex was too big so it was difficult to get around easily and it was easy to get lost A lot of the facilities like the bars and shops were closed most or all of the time. We were accused of having a party in one of our rooms when we weren’t at the hotel. That really annoyed us and made us feel even more unwelcome. It made us feel like we were unwanted there and as a result we stayed away as much as possible. When we checked out in the morning, we weren’t allowed to use the pool or stay on the complex. Wherever we sat, we were asked to move. I’ve never encountered this at any other hotel that I have stayed at.

Spectacular views

The apartment was clean and had the most spectacular views. The swimming pools are great, with a restaurant and shop onsite. Excellent location.

The only downside was that not all the pools and slides were open as we went in April but that is very minor as we still had access to 2 great pools and some slides!

Benalmadena is definitely a place to stay with family as it's pretty and all the attractions are close by Selwo Marina is literally 5minutes walk from apartment. The communication with owner is really great-quick &efficient

When we arrived it was a night time.First thing we had noticed was a really strong smell. I believe it was from chemicals used in order to clean apartment but it was extremely irritating and because it was a night time we couldn't leave a patio door open.We ended up all itching and unable to sleep first night.
