Amazing, unique historical fortress.
You need to time ferry crossings to get to and from it. Last ferry back is 2100- if you miss that you’re stranded unless you fork out £30 for a water taxi.

Wonderful property with clean rooms.
Need to purchase towel to shower. No shampoo in shower just hand soap. Breakfast is average but in a wonderful setting.

It's fun and unique to stay in a castle, on an island. The room was very spacious and we didn't mind that the bathroom was separate. Breakfast was very good.
I messaged the property to ask about breakfast times (in case we could get the very first early ferry) but never got a reply.
While the bedrooms were lovely and clean and the sink/toilet were all very clean, the shower unit was really filthy. Orange slimey grime all around the seals and joints. Walls also very dirty in bathroom - especially around the toilet area where they get splashed! You need to be more careful with the cleaning in the bathrooms which is a real shame, because everything else was spotless.

Big headache to bring the trolley from the jetty to the castle
