A truly enjoyable place to stay.

Villa Augustus is my of my favourite destinations. I would like stay longer, for instance a week, but I’m not sure what the cost would be. If I could pay a monthly rate I would stay every year in the winter

Great view, service errors

Great breakfast, great view and location

The staff entered the room on 2 occasions. They even inspected the tower and didnt say anything and left. On telling this at the reception desk they told us they would internally investigate, without any compensation, sorry or follow-up.

A modern art excentric gem in Dordrecht

We absolutely loved the hotel itself! It’s a very special place, with amazing modern art decorations and design twists. It was like staying at a modern art museum. They have a huge garden where they cultivate a lot of things which can then be found in their restaurant or for sale in their indoor market shop. People were very nice and the view from our floating bedroom was also nice :) We very much appreciated the fact that the windows all had mosquito nets. We also loved the proximity with Dordrecht! We could go meet up in the center of town in no time and come back late without problem :)

The ventilation in the floating room was a bit challenging. For the price, we expected to have AC or at least an ok ventilation, but it wasn’t the case, and the day was very hot. We managed to air out by keeping the front door open for a bit, and the windows open at night. I mean it’s basically like being on a boat so it’s ok, but we just found it challenging to create a good airflow in the room. Also, finding the parking was a bit tricky at first.

There is no air conditioning- but we didn’t need it either. The rooms have lots of windows and the hotel is on the water so lots of nice breeze.

Excellent, thoroughly recommend.

Family room (just the 2 of us) with huge double bed has its own decking area for relaxing in the sunshine (not in main building) with lovely view of the beautifully maintained vegetable garden. Restaurant 1 minute walk with good menu. Really quiet at night as 20 minute walk from centre of town. Staff were polite, friendly and helpful.

Although breakfast was good at 18 Euros each it needed to be!

Perfect!

Beautiful location, looking out on the gardens, great old building with the modern comforts. Loved the decor of my room. Very comfy beds and clean crisp sheets. So nice to walk over to the restuarant, we always wanted to do this. Nice to walk into the city the next morning for a shopping trip and enjoy the beautiful architecture in Dordrecht.

A dreamlike fairytale castle of a hotel

A dreamlike fairytale castle of a hotel with an Alice-in-Wonderland feel to it. Beautiful rooms, quirky industrial hardware meets designer shabby chic vibe in an old water tower. Superb food, much of it fresh from the gardens that surround the main tower. Lovely friendly and enthusiastic staff who clearly love their job and the hotel ethos. Superb.

Best view of Three River Point

This whole property is very unique.The most special is of course The Lantern Room.But they also have a variety of unique room types scattered across a large garden.And this estate is right next to the river.So the view is always beautiful.The hotel's own restaurant was also very good.

I liked my room. I also liked the restaurant. Parking is very close and for free. The hotel is in a nice location surrounded in beautiful gardens.

I had the small breakfast for €11,-. I asked for a cup of tea, 1 toast with jam and a freshly squeezed orange juice. It would have been nice to have at lest 2 slices of toast or a menu for the small breakfast for €11,-. I have a lactose intolerance which means I cannot order the large breakfast. I cannot eat most of the breakfast menu. The staff in the breakfast area is not that friendly or helpful. I experienced an extremely helpful & friendly staff in the restaurant in the evening. Totally the opposite.

Exceptional

I travel a lot for work. This hotel is perfect with very friendly staff. The hotel has been renovated in great detail and love. The garden is very special with a vegetable plot. The restaurant is very good and in a great location. Great for parking the car. Only a few minutes drive to the centre of Dordrecht. I will be back!

Even in the depths of winter a stay at the Villa Augustus is a delight.

We like this hotel so much that we have returned again and again. Every aspect of it is beautifully designed and thought through. The rooms are pleasant and comfortable, and we had the benefit of a door onto the Italianate garden. The food is good and beautifully presented. We like the shop with its whimsical produce.

The hotel is unique. The breakfast was superb. The hotel is situated in beautiful gardens on the bank of the river. Secure parking is included. A very interesting hotel a converted industrial building with " shabby chic " decoration.

Food and service were fine.

The manager the morning that we checked out. She was harsh, to put it politely. Because of her altitude, I would not stay at this hotel again. All other staff were very pleasant and professional.

Wonderful, relaxing and charming.

We had the secret garden room which was just charming. The little garden was wonderful for relaxing in private. The breakfasts were wonderful and the evening meals using produce from the grounds was delicious. Can't wait to return.

There is only one size for the bikes to hire and as i am quite short i found it quite difficult to cycle. It would be great if there were several different sizes to suit all people.
