Artefes Hotel Old City& Spa

The hotel is located in a very quiet street with many restaurants and cafes within a short walk. It is also close to the main attractions like the Blue mosque. The Galata bridge is about a 30 minute walk away. My wife and I were booked into room 401 which is the suite which comes with a balcony. From the balcony there are great views over the water (though there is a semi derelict building opposite which spoils the view somewhat). We stayed at the Artefes early October 2026 for five nights at the end a 15 day driving tour of the country so we stayed in around a dozen hotels in total. I would say that the breakfast at this hotel was easily the best of the holiday. There was a great selection of the usual breakfast food but also each day there were a constantly changing selection of very tasty additional items so there was something new every morning..

The coffee machine at breakfast was frequently not working. Staff tried to fix it but repairs were only temporary.

Another wonderful stay at this hotel. As a returning guest, it is lovely to see that the experience keeps getting better each time. The staff are always exceptionally friendly, welcoming, and helpful, which truly makes you feel at home. The rooms are spotless, comfortable, and very well maintained. The location is excellent, and the view of the Sea of Marmara from the terrace is simply unforgettable. Breakfasts are delicious, with plenty to enjoy and a great start to the day. Thank you to the entire team for another fantastic stay. I look forward to coming back again soon!
