Great location clean ok for short stay

Location location… basic but for the price it’s ok. Was clean, sheets were clean great for a night there.

Location, location, location

Fantastic location next door to rue merciere (lots of restaurants) and close to vieux lyon (=restaurants, pubs, visits)

the technical word for this hotel is “DUMP”. extremely small gloomy dirty room with 2 broken beds, no lift up a narrow twisting staircase, one of the worst hotels I have stayed in , in 30 years of travelling worldwide.

Love the place and the ambience but the stairs look lethal.

A very comfy bed in a newly decorated room and a powerful shower too.

I requested a lower floor room, a wish that I was granted but at no time guaranteed. The spiral staircase looks scary. They are renovating the place, I'm hoping, as the carpets on the stairs probably date back to the carpet age and look quite revolting.

It's got everything you need

Obviously not the hilton or four seasons, but met all my needs as a solo traveller who's still in uni. Clean, safe, located in the middle of the city, got all I needed. Wish there were more hotels like this.

There was a massive fan in the room but no A/C -- visited late June so it was boiling.

All + no elevator with a very uncomfortable spiral stair. The place did not check my profile for age and gave me 3rd floor with no help for luggage. Washing face in bathroom supposed hit the head constantly with shelf

Couldn’t sleep all night because of the heat and noise.

The location, and the bed was comfortable

The room was a joke, extremely small, lights hanging off the ceiling, window face to face(2 meters) with someone. Extremely hot, a joke of a fan to turn the hot air around…I would definitely NEVER stay there again.

Superb

the location is in the center of Lyon, very close to the metro and bus. The street is calm and clean, the neighborhood is very nice.

I prefer to have a tapis in the bathroom, a kettle/water heating.

Location

The cleaning lady wanted to come in but I told her I didn’t need it. She then came in when I was in the shower! A third time she asked if I had dirty towels and rubbish. Maybe they are instructed by management to clean the room come what may but this was a little invasive

Great location. Comfy, clean bed. Everything else is as you’d expect for a one star.

Some of the staff were helpful, the location is good.

The toilet had a really strong urine smell, it was almost impossible to stay inside, the room itself wasn’t good. there was a massive hole on the wall next to the bed. the heating was off so the room was freezing and they offer only one duvet. There wasn’t many options for breakfast.

The personnel was friendly and the location was good.

My room was quite small and wasn't clean. Especially in the shower area, there was hair from the previous guests. Some walls in the bathroom needed reparation (there were holes). The soundproofing was bad, so I could hear the noise from the street and people from other rooms talking. Furthermore, the amenities could be much better (there was only one towel in the room, for example) Apart from that, the hotel has no lift, and the spiral staircase is quite dangerous, especially if you have a lot of luggage.

Great value for price

The location was great; you had bars, cafes, museums and all sorts of transportation at hand. WiFi was really strong. The room had a nice view and it was clean and not as small as you usually get in France. Staff was pretty nice too.

The bed was not really comfortable; it wasn't too bad, you could sleep alright, but it wasn't a great bed in any way.

location - in the city centre but without noises from the street. unfortunately I can here everything from my neighbours (the walls are so tony that I had felling that someone wants to open my door). staff was very friendly

very small shower (and I am slim), it would be useful to refresh the rooms (holes in the walls), towels or hair dryer could be in the room (there are available but you must ask in the reception). I knew this things because I have read all the comments.
