We had an amazing stay and truly enjoyed every moment of our girls trip.

My friends and I stayed at Les Tilleuls – Maison Gersdorff in Étretat and had a wonderful experience on our girls trip. The house is beautiful, full of charm, and very well maintained. Our rooms were spotless, cozy, and incredibly comfortable. Breakfast was delicious with fresh, high-quality products, and the atmosphere of the house made our stay feel very special. Everything was calm, pleasant, and thoughtfully arranged, which made us feel instantly relaxed. We truly enjoyed our time here, and this place made our trip to Étretat even more memorable. We would happily come back and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a peaceful and delightful stay.

I booked a luxury suite at Les Tilleuls Étretat, but upon arrival I was given a small wooden cabin that is not suitable for living. The basement was a workshop, lighting was poor, and there was a parking lot right behind the wall, making the stay noisy and uncomfortable. The cabin was priced the same as rooms in the main building, which is completely unfair. There was no cleaning service during the week, and my request for an upgrade was denied. Photos and the description on Booking.com do not reflect the reality and can mislead other guests. I cannot recommend this property based on my experience.

Wonderful experience

We had a wonderful stay! It’s such a cozy, authentic, and beautiful place — full of charm and character. The atmosphere is peaceful and welcoming, and you can really feel the love and care that went into creating it. The hosts were incredibly kind and warm, and we felt truly at home. We especially enjoyed spending time with the cat — it made the experience even more lovely and homey :) The breakfast was delicious and beautifully presented — a real pleasure to start the day with. The location is also perfect: the town is small, so we were basically right in the center, close to everything. We honestly couldn’t find a single negative thing — everything was just perfect. Thank you so much for such a wonderful experience!

I felt like home

One of the best stays ever, I felt like home. The hosts were very friendly and happy to help (I had a late check-in issue, which was resolved). The hotel itself is a work of art, there is soul in everything you see - from a beautiful garden, to a spacious common living room with a fortepiano and a fireplace, to a crafty kitchen and a dining area, where all guests gather for breakfast, to the rooms themselves. Mine was on the second floor and was huge, literally - the bathroom was twice as big as some of my stays in Paris. It felt like every little thing was carefully chosen, which in turn made me feel special. To the more practical points - the bed was big and comfy, the shower spacious and had all the toiletries, the terrace was perfect for chilling outside (though it was too cold during my stay). I also liked the breakfast, which the host cooked together with his son - eggs, yogurts, French toasts, cheeses, and coffee, all fresh and made just for you and right in front of you (well, not right in front, but I hope you get the point). Lastly, the gatherings room on the top floor was a blast, I could enjoy the view of Etretat's roofs from an elevated windowsill (I spent 30 mins just staring out of the window and summoning seagulls). All in all - I wish I could stay for more than just 1 night, it was a crime to leave so early. Hope I will be able to stay for longer in future

Great location in the heart of Etretat

+great location in the heart of Etretat +grocery stores, restaurants and beach are nearby +private parking place (very tight and costs extra) +beautiful authentic and aesthetic villa +spacious room with a balcony (even though balcony is a common one for the entire floor) +nice garden with flowers +slippers and bathrobes +big soft bed

-way too many ants (which also bite) -poor sound isolation -no refrigerator, kettle, TV in the room -no air-conditioning -poor wi-fi -very limited option breakfast with extremely small child-like portions (felt hungry already after an hour) -family atmosphere where you feel uncomfortable as a guest (even though you pay 360 euro per night) -breakfast at the common table, where everyone sits very close to each other (including dogs) -rather short time period for breakfast (8:30-10) -parking instructions (exact address of the gate and door code) were provided quite late on the day of arrival. Would be nice if such information would be sent in the morning or the night before the trip.

Probably the best B&B in the world

Probably the best B&B I have ever stayed in. Center location yet on a quiet road with gated car park. The house was full of history, make sure you check the post war fridge in the kitchen made by General Motors. The breakfast is amazing, not surprisingly since it’s cooked by the host who is a Michelin stared cook. Overall we had a wonderful time staying here, wish we can come back again in the future.

Hotel with it's own soul!

Wonderful place; lovely staff and assistant (cute labrador girl). Designed for every interior item. A hotel with its own soul. Breakfast was served at an elegant, large, common table, offering products from local producers. Would love to come back again.

The fastest 10/10 rating ever

This is an exceptional property - a beautiful garden and interiors, a movie room, and a wine cellar! The location is perfect with a spacious parking spot. David is a wonderful host and a cook! Dog friendly! Our dog feels anxious in new places and a bit grumpy with strangers but he was very welcomed there still. Their dog Tillia is absolutely adorable, and deserves all belly rubs in the world:) I wish all my stays in other places were like this one, can't recommend it enough!

A Great Stay!

I loved everything about this place! The hospitality provided by David, the host/ manager was outstanding. You will not be disappointed! Private parking, great location, luxuriously comfortable beds, spacious rooms, a movie room, wine cellar, the breakfast....all added up to a great experience! If you have the opportunity, have David cook a meal for you. He's a great cook! Don't pass this up. It's the way you wish all your stays could be.

Very beautiful refuge in Etretat with short ways to the beach and hiking trails. The house is in very good shape with lots of love for detail. The hosts are great, nice to chat with and very helpful. there is a great breakfast and private parking.

Dreams come true

Such an incredibly beautiful place, in all dimensions and details of it. From the location (you are very close to the center and the sea with cliffs, yet you have all the quietness and space of the garden to relax and avoid the crowds) to the beautiful interior (space, furniture, colors, light and even smells), to the very sweet and caring staff. The key experience is definitely this fantastic breakfast on the terrace with the view on the garden, roofs with seagulls talking to each other and immense normandy sky above you.
