Beautiful typically Venetian hotel , in a picturesque and yet quiet location

Our room was clean and spacious and had great storage with old fashioned furniture which was befitting to the venetian design and history. Staff were warm, friendly and very helpful. Good selection of teas and coffees in the room and fresh milk is brought to your room when you ask for it. Mini bar stocked well although we bought our own drinks and kept them in the fridge. Air conditioning welcome in the heat! No idea why some people moaning about the breakfast! There were hot selections (sausages, scrambled eggs and other bits) and bread to toast. Fresh croissants some plain and some filled. I particularly liked the chocolate ones! Then there is cereals (ask for fresh milk) and a yogurt dispensing machine. Fresh fruit and the usual meats and cheeses for continental breakfast. Fresh honeycomb and jams, marmalade, Nutella etc. Small cakes/muffins and American style pancakes and maple syrup. Seriously you wont go hungry! Fresh coffee to pour from and hot milk and if you want a pot of tea the staff will make it. If you don't ask well then that's your problem not the hotels! Definitely would go again and the location was perfect 👌🏼

If I am to be really picky, it would have been nice if the terrace bar was open in the evenings.

It’s only 5minutes from St Marks square and quintessential Venice ❤️ Gondola’s going past your window is a big treat and there a little square with about 6 restaurants/bars just a minutes walk away which was just lovely but far enough away that the hotel is very quiet :)

The location is great, but the rest...

- I am a tour organiser and got this hotel for me and my American guests. On internet it seemed great. - The mattress in the room 103 was very old and I was in pain sleeping on it for a short while. I then checked it and was shocked - it was so old that the metal 'rods' were hard on my body. I could feel them easily just touching them with my hand. That meant the mattress was very worn out. I cannot believe that can happen in a 4*hotel. - When I talked to the night-shift receptionist about it and he even felt it in the bed, he later made me feel like the mattress is ok and that I am the problem! Incredible, so unprofessional! - My guests (they were in the suite) complained breakfast was completely cold (eggs, sausages etc). - Also, they told me the stuff put on extremely loud rock-n-roll music in the 'kitchen' of breakfast at 7:30am. People need peace in the morning, and not an aggressive music. - My guests room (suite) was in two levels. The upper level, where the bed was, was extremely hot, 28 C, which is not comfortable for Americans.
