Delle Nazioni Milan Hotel

Spacious room with functional AC. The staff was extremely pleasant as well and helped me when I was struggling.

Only reason I gave it 9 stars was because there was construction occurring when I was trying to rest (I was resting in the middle of the day in between check in and out so I will give them that)

The location is near the Milan Central station which is great if you want to explore. Around you can find restaurants and supermarkets and the surroundings felt safe. The room was nice and clean.

When we arrived, around 50 mins before the check in time, the man at the reception said the room is not ready and that he is offering us an upgrade. We were quite tired but he assured us that once the room is ready he will let us know. This didnt happen so at 2pm when the check in time came, we had to go again and ask for the room. In the meantime, other guests were invited to their rooms. After asking again about the room,another person came to take us to this “upgraded room” that was in another location, around 3-4 mins walking from the hotel, in a older building that had nothing to do with the hotel, with no reception or anything and when we enterted the hallway there were towels and things all over the place. The room was not an upgrade whatsoever, so we refused and asked for the initial room. The room that we have booked was definitely much better and we we’re really mad that they made us wait to clean a room that was offered without us asking for it while the actual room was ready and looking great. When asking what is the difference between the rooms in the actual hotel and the “upgrade”, the reception person said that the hotel has standard rooms, much smaller while the other ones are better. Don’t fall for this trap. Regarding the actual room,the doors have a gap so you can hear everything from outside. Guests are talking loud, slamming doors even at 1-2am. One night at 1am a man also tried opening our door, claiming that he made a mistake.
