Shanghai Park Hotel

The aesthetic of the property was first class. You’re in a hotel with a traditional aesthetic in an excellent location, right next to People’s Square station. The staff were very helpful and professional. A concierge constantly on hand to help with luggage. Lots of bottles water and towels provided for free the gym. The bedroom was spacious with a good balance of a classy, old fashioned feel with all the modern features needed. Shower was excellent. Gym facilities were very good though even more strength training equipment would add a lot. Vending machines had a good selection.

The gym wasn’t open 24/7 as marketed on Booking.com. It was open until 22:30, I was asked to leave by a janitor after that. I’m nocturnal and exercise late which is why the 24/7 gym not being open those hours was a disappointment. If you don’t speak Chinese don’t expect the staff to be able to communicate with you in English. Communication was all through translator apps though this is normal for non-Chinese speakers in China.

Location & hospitality of all those who work there I am a frequent traveler & will always recommend this hotel to everyone, just in front of peoples square metro station gate 8 🤙

Helpful staff, comfort and location. It was not a bother to leave luggage.

The hotel did not reply to inquiries regarding left luggage prior to my arrival.

It is old , and there were mud and dust and I wont suggest to someone whom has allergy as mine was not good experience …. Just wanted to sunshine and move from the property
