About this hotel
With a view of People's Square, the iconic Jin Jiang Park Hotel in Shanghai was built in 1934 and is one of the city's key historical buildings. As the highest building of Far East in 1930s and 1940s, the property was awarded Shanghai Famous Marks.

Historical and classical style of the lobby and the room. The sheets and towels were very clean and well organised.
There were small insects in the bath room. I guess this was due to the old facilities. The toilet on the second floor was not clean.

Clean with comfortable beds, and copious bottles of free water. Fabulous location.
It smelt very strongly of moth balls in reception (disgusting), and the whole hotel was very old-fashioned and needs a major update. The drain in the bathroom also smelled bad, which we complained about a few times. Staff were disinterested and not helpful.
