lovely room and fantastic breakfast

Lovely comfortable quiet room with a very nice ensuite bathroom. Far reaching views of fields and trees. This was our 3rd stay in this beautiful country house hotel, the decor & furnishings through out are well curated to complement the period architecture. We especially like the conservatory as a place to relax with it's views over the gardens & beyond.
The staff are very friendly & professional. The breakfast is most generous and served on immaculately laid out tables.
Nothing not to like

Good Breakfast. Nice view & room
No drinking water, no iron, no fridge, I did ask for iron then provided, No safe.
Evening meal over priced I had the duck but Kumquats very bitter spoilt it. Drinks & food very expensive, the menu a bit over pretentious. Some of the waitress uniforms not appropriate.

The Breakfast needs revising and updating.
There is little if you do not take the full cooked breakfast other than boxed cereals and toast. We asked if we could have porridge and this was declared “not possible “
These days all menus should include healthy options
See above. The dinner menu too was old fashioned and too “meaty “
